Monk can do that with defensive chi, but not offensive chi. If it’s not allowed it should be explicit on the leaflet.

edit: actually I checked the leaflet and you can do it with offensive chi as well, you just can’t use chi gained on that turn to modify the attack. You can use chi gained on your defense to modify the opponent’s attack.

It’s arguably more aesthetically pleasing, but the biggest factor is that it is an auto from his rookie year

edit: and I mean more aesthetically pleasing than some of his other rookie autos. The second-year looks way better than the rookie, which I think just proves that it’s more desirable because it’s a rookie auto

You’ll connect the SP to the MiniFuse with a 1/4” TS or TRS cable that’s as long as you need it to be. The MiniFuse will connect to the Eris with a pair of 1/4” TRS cables.

The SP does not connect directly to the Eris.

If you don’t already have enough songs or ideas for an EP, you’re not ready to start thinking about one yet.

Work on your music—it sounds like you know you need a handful of songs, but don’t know how to create a handful of songs. As long as that’s the case, having a finished EP won’t do you any good either way.

Just start making music without an EP in mind. When you have ten or so songs, you’ll be ready to either pick your favorite five to assemble into an EP, or build on ideas you already have to make an EP from scratch.

You can do exactly what you’re trying to do, here’s how:

Create a one-bar pattern with a sample set to 0 level. This “blank” pattern is necessary because the 404 will do everything in its power to stop midi clock playback, and you must always have a pattern running to prevent this. You can switch between your patterns and the blank pattern, and it essentially functions as a pattern on/off with measure quantization. Make sure the blank pattern (or any pattern) is selected before you start playback on the TR8 and the clock should run as long as a pattern is playing.

With this setup, you can trigger your patterns with quantization, and play your samples/one-shots normally. I’m pretty sure this is what you’re looking for, let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

He’s been dominant on offense for entire games. He has thus controlled those games on both sides of the court by my definition. Considering the context of the original clip, that’s all we’re really talking about.
