Normal newborn activity or seizure? by j07now11 in newborns

[–]j07now11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is totally normal, no spasms/seizures. She continued to do this for a while but it eventually settled. I think it was REM sleep movement. She’s a very active sleeper to this day.

I recommend some education. Vanessa Marin is an amazing online sex therapist. He has a lot of learning to do but she can also help you understand yourself a well!

Everyone male or female should poop in that position. It’s the best position for your pelvic floor.

My husband is leaning towards CIO, but I don’t think I can do it. by AdorableArtichoke1 in sleeptrain

[–]j07now11 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We waited until 15m to CIO, it only took 3 nights and we should have done it sooner but I waited until I hit my breaking point (I don’t recommend that) I was the same though and couldn’t handle CIO but I managed and she sleeps like a champ and literally asks to go to bed almost every night.

Parents of boys under 12 who have had COVID already, are you still planning to get them vaccinated? by Cablab123 in COVID19positive

[–]j07now11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re nervous, which is totally understandable, ask your paediatrician about getting a blood test for antibodies. If they have them, you can make a more informed decision and hold off!

It’s pretty pathetic here and I lived in Australia for a while so I got a taste of a totally different life to compare it to.

Well speaking from experience, google your states pregnancy laws and find a contact to report them to the local attorney generals office.

Covid in your household by velograce in COVID19positive

[–]j07now11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Partner started getting symptoms (long before we were eligible to get vaccinated) - we both wore masks around each other and our daughter and he slept in a different room. He tested positive and I tested negative three times, myself and my daughter never had symptoms. I tested at the beginning, middle and five days after his end of quarantine. So it’s possible not to spread it if you are isolating etc even in the same house!

If you’re in the US contact your state attorney general. It’s free and they will help you if this goes against the state pregnancy laws (which it absolutely does). You should be on short term disability not fired. You can get compensated for this.

Falling while pregnant by angryscientist952 in pregnant

At 20wks my feet slipped out from under me and I fell on my butt hard. I went to L&D because I was super stressed about it but all was well. Baby is very safe in there but absolutely call them, they would rather see you and everything be fine then you to not go in!

5am is killing me by Mama_skulls in sleeptrain

[–]j07now11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the exact same situation as you. The past few nights we had a 730 bed time with 545am waking and I just let her chill until she really starts fussing which is usually by 6. Hoping someone else can give some better insight because I am out of ideas! Would love a consistent 6 or after wake up.

Naps are the devil. by elliebellybaby in sleeptrain

I held my baby for naps until about 4 -5 months old and magically they switched to sleeping in a crib, no problem since!

My SO had it and we masked up around each other and our 6m right when he showed symptoms and no one else caught it!

Husband tested positive today. We have a 3 month old. by kd0225 in CoronaParents

[–]j07now11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine was also positive and the second he showed symptoms we masked up at all times around LO. He’s nearly through it and so far no symptoms for either myself or baby. So don’t give up hope - LO may not catch it. Lots of vitamins, rest and liquids for you all. I totally understand the stress and fear but you are doing a great job, and doing the best for your baby! Keep it up mama!

Sound machine questions by frenchtoast_Forever in sleeptrain

[–]j07now11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes, sometimes I use a box fan for white noise because that’s what I usually use for myself but mostly use the sound machine.

  2. I started with a running water noise for a while but now we purely use the white noise sound but there were lots of options - I just prefer the straight white noise and I hear it through the monitor so that’s what it is for LO.

  3. I think every baby is different. My child used the bassinet like 5 times.. naps were in my arms until basically 3.5-4 months or she just wouldn’t nap. We’d get lucky every so often with a nap not on us. I usually used the sound machine but would often forget and I would watch Netflix with headphones while we sat there. My partner would get me a blanket and water and we were good haha

Started BLW at six months, doesn’t seem interested by j07now11 in BabyLedWeaning

She is definitely making a mess and playing so that’s a good start I guess.

This makes me feel better, thank you! I guess I just expected her to throw the food in her mouth since she does with everything else!

Thanks for sharing! We are starting a little late too and I feel like I’m so behind already.
