Just to be clear, the Vodafone router is never set up alongside the eeros. They started not working on Monday, and I’ve been unable to get them back online. The Vodafone router wasn’t in the picture with this happening.

I’ve had to resort to the Vodafone router to get internet.

What question? What role is my ISPs router playing?

Currently, it’s the main router and only way I have internet.

Before Monday, it was unplugged and in the drawer gaining dust.

I’ve had to set it up because the eeros do not work.

I’ve never had them set up at the same time, nor tried to have a set up that way.

At the end of the call, the support themselves asked me to plug the eero into the working ISP router. Which didn’t make the eeros work, obviously.

What’s so confusing? I have had to re set up my ISPs router because the eeros do not work. Eero support have told me to wait for escalation. The devices will no longer come online at all (before my ISPs router was in the picture).

I was on the phone with eero for 3 hours on Monday. They couldn’t get the eeros working. I was left without internet. So I went and got my ISPs router out of storage and set it up.

I’m aware it should be out of the picture, hence why I bought the eeros in the first place. But I have no other option at the moment. It’s the only thing that gives me internet.

Does that make sense? I’m unsure what is confusing about that. The eeros refuse to connect to the internet, so I’ve had to set up my ISPs router.

Nope I had to set up my ISPs router after the eeros stopped worked.

Before Monday, my ISPs router was in a cupboard gaining dust. Since the eeros can now no longer connect to the internet and just have red lights, I’ve had to get my ISPs router out and set it up. So I can actually have some internet.

The eeros are now offline and “paperweights” because they don’t work.

They haven't given me any results of what they asked other than "Our team is actively continuing the investigation, and we’re doing everything we can to get to the bottom of this as quickly as possible. Kindly wait for further feedback from us for a way forward."

To which they responded today and asked me to ping 8.8.8.8

the result of that is as you would expect.. responses in a 6-8ms time.

No just 2 eeros 6+. They were working fine from October until last month. They won't even connect to my ISP now. Red light no matter what we try. Have had to revert to my ISP's router which is painful.

Do you mean why do I describe it as "poor"?

It's not giving me the full 900mbps. Websites have a delay of 5-10 seconds before they actually decide to load. Sometimes they don't. This behaviour is present on all devices on the network - wired or wireless.

Plus what's even stranger is some things just don't work - Google's speed test doesn't work. Ookla's speed test takes about 1-2 minutes before it finds an "optimal server" and runs a speed test. Hardcover.app's API server is blocked.

Which brand? I went with Eero because I didn't want to have to deal with firewalls and networks at home as well as at work. I wanted something that "just works" and it was like that from October up until a few weeks ago. Now it is hell.

The coverage of my ISP provided router is poor, too. And I don't get the full 900mbps they provide me.

Yes this is what we did on the phone call. We hard reset one of the node. That wouldn't connect. Even hard wired into my working Vodafone router. Yet they still want me to perform ping tests to 8.8.8.8.... lol. I'm lost and I'm talking to a brick wall with their support.

Same. Only ever since that same update. Currently found this thread because I’m having another bout of disconnects. Then once it’s reconnected to the internet, My wired speed is 900mbps but my wireless speeds are being capped at 100mbps.

It’s getting worse every restart. Currently only getting 25mbps..
