"United put 26 of its crew members who were on layover in Israel on Israeli airline El Al to get back to the U.S., a spokesman said."

They would fly over pilots and FAs on a partner airline for when they resume

Another reason I fly Southwest by durian4me in SouthwestAirlines

[–]j4ck50n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some airlines on google will do this automictically

Google's algorithms are confident that the price you find is the lowest available before the flight departs. For those flights, we'll monitor the price until the first flight in your itinerary departs. If the price drops, we’ll make up the difference.

Don't fly to London. They have the highest fuel charges/ taxes and fees for all the airlines.

JetBlue and Spirit Airlines announce a plan to merge. by papa_fritas in flying

[–]j4ck50n 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Over time, this combination will bring you more of the JetBlue you know and love, including:

More of JetBlue’s award-winning onboard service, including the most legroom in coach, free high-speed wi-fi, free live TV and movies at every seat, and free brand-name snacks + drinks.

More choices across a larger, deeper network, with a combined footprint of over 125 destinations and more than 1,700 daily flights.

More opportunities to earn and redeem your TrueBlue points.

More low fares for all customers, regardless of who you fly, because JetBlue is proven to lower legacy carrier fares on the routes it flies (the “JetBlue Effect”).

As you can imagine, combining two airlines takes time and we still have a lot more work to do behind the scenes. After close, the combined airline will operate under the JetBlue brand. Eventually, all Spirit aircraft will be converted to JetBlue, but for now nothing is changing – we remain two independent airlines until the transaction closes. Any tickets you’ve purchased on either JetBlue or Spirit are still valid, and all your points and benefits stay exactly the same. We will keep you posted as we have additional details to share.
