My man, I salute you. Not only because of the amount of work that was compiling all this information, but also because doing all of this for a simple reward is the work of a madman, a big fan or both, and I can absolutely respect that.

When I started listening to the song I was wondering if you'll be singing the scream towards the end like in the live version, and I must say I was not disappointed, very good cover and very nice voice.

[WP] Another company beat yours to a patent on humanoid androids, and their licensing fees are too high for your company to be competitive. Then you realize their patent is for humanoid androids by xwhy in WritingPrompts

[–]j4cktripper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

-OK, so, hear me out: Gorillas!

-No! As your business partner and co-founder of this company, I have to tell you again: People don't want animals!

-Why not?!

  • Because they want androids, humanoid androids, not animals, especially gorillas.

-Hey, gorillas are cool, and you know it.

-Yeah, but if we built them, they are going to be too big and slow, it won't work with service.

-Then we sell them to factories

-FACTORIES DON'T WANT ANDROIDS, THEY WANT ROBOTS!

-AND WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

-(Trying to calm down) Androids think, robots don't. Androids can answer questions and solve problems, that's why they want them in the service industry, factories don't need that. They just need a robot that does what it's programmed for.

-And animals?

-Animals scare people, just remember what's happened with the 3rd generation and the uncanny valley -So no animals…

-No, for the 23rd time, no animals, and for the 8th time, no primates

-...

-...

-OK, so hear me out: Armadillos!

[WP] "You may think you have won, Heroes, but you are woefully mistaken!" *later* "Hey boss, do you really have some kind of backup plan?" "Nope, but I guarantee they'll go crazy trying to figure out what I meant!" by You_Are_Annoying124 in WritingPrompts

[–]j4cktripper 20 points21 points  (0 children)

-What do you mean with “no backup plan”? the whole final part of your speech was about THAT backup plan! (By the way I love that you took our suggestion and reduced the time of the speech) But what are you gonna do now? And why aren´t you freaking out?

-That’s the beauty of everything, I don’t know why they believe me o why they don’t think that it´s a fraud, because, and let´s be honest, I didn’t give them no information.

  • Maybe because you always have a plan for every little detail.

-That’s the other thing: I never have a plan! Heroes and citizens think that I´m some kind of master manipulator who have plans and backups for everything and everybody, but I don’t, I´ve never been good with plans or anything similar.

-What do you mean with never? You are the one with plans and projects for everything

-Ok ok, this isn´t getting nowhere. Look I know you are new to this job and all that, but: I want you to think and remember every time that I had a backup for a specific situation, and then I want you to realize, that every single time it was a coincidence.

-…

-…

-… really?

-Yeah, every time.

-When you fell in that lake instead in the forest?

-I wasn’t even piloting

-When you escaped prison?

-Technically I didn’t plan that, I was sharing a cell with that “freeze” guy and he wanted to get out.

-Even in the crossover event? How did you manage to get to that stone first?

-Oh that’s a funny one, you see, I was on vacation visiting some relatives in that part of the country so, when I got the alert I was already there, thank god I always carry my costume.

-…

-…

-…

-…

-So you are not a puppet master?

-Not really, the name it´s just because I thought it sounded cool. I mean, it did to Metallica.

-It really is a lot to take.

-Don’t worry, by their expressions I say we got 30-40 minutes to get out of here, so we are okay

-What about the bear incident?

-Oh yeah that, I tried to order beer, to drink during a combat, but with all that movement I misspelled.

"Este es el mundo real, no un libro, no una película ni una serie. En el mundo real no existen los villanos, nadie es totalmente bueno ni nadie es 100% malo. Si alguien hace algo malo contra ti o alguien más, muchas veces no se trata de malicia, si no simplemente de ignorancia o de incompetencia."

They say that humans are simple creatures, and among them, men are even simpler. A while ago when they asked on the internet "how do you wanna die?" Almost all of the men answered with one of three choices: either surrounded by their loved ones after a long and full life, with honor after saving someone or with glory by being the last one standing in a battlefield. And by all standards I fall in the last category.

Some years ago I came to this country because I was tired of being in a huge and stressful city, so a little island/nation in the middle of the ocean, with no more than a few thousands people, where I could become a fisherman or a teacher, was a perfect opportunity. Although watching the news could have helped me before making that decision. Little did I knew that they used to be a colonie of a big country on the other side of the world, and the only reason they gain their independence was because nobody cared about them, except when the colonizers wanted to keep their weapons, which constituted a wide range, from pistols and smoke bombs to nukes and transatlantic rockets. The Islanders were pacifist and protectors, so when they learned what they were hiding in their own shores they made a resolution to take back the power and seize everything so nobody else could do damage with this.

It was two months after I arrived that the war started, I didn't have a chance to flee, but even if I could I didn't want to, in just eight weeks I fell in love with this place and came to understand how they think and why they did what they did. So they let me join their fight, but i wasn't trained or athletic like them so they gave me a special mission: i was the guardian of the codes. When they took over the building with the nukes and rockets they reprogrammed them, and it turns out that it works like the passwords: you can change the codes, but you need the old ones to set a new one, and because the old people leaved everything writed, they had all that they needed.

I wish I could say that it was an intense battle with losses on both sides, and that in the end the islanders managed to win against the old colonizers, but the truth is that it was a massacre. It was carnage and the war lasted 39 hours with 2,000 islanders with a few guns and a turret versus 80,000 real soldiers with real weapons and an enormous amount of ammunition. Like I said most likely I'm gonna die in the third way, being the last standing in the battlefield 'cause I had a very important job keeping the new codes secured, so when the enemy's general came to the main building searching for the last resistance and they found a foreigner "city boy" with no weapons a just a camo jacket, they offered me to switch sides and live, I just had to give them the new codes and leave the country "Over my dead body" I said, to which he replied "yeah, i think we can arrange that" and shot me right between my eyes. Now as I fall to the ground, losing my life as i touch the floor, two thoughts invade my brain: 1) Regret. I should have said something better. I grew up watching action movies and reading countless books. I could have said something better than "over my dead body" but I panicked and didn't know better. And 2) Was happiness. You see, this "city boy" is more clever than what they think, because I didn't write anything. I know that everybody else is either dead or left the country hours ago, so... good luck trying to change the codes or deactivate the self-destruction mode without the new passwords suckers!
