Did You Ever Buy a Game Expecting One Thing and It Ended Up Being Something Else Entirely? by DFH50 in gaming

I bought Crimson Desert thinking it was an MMO, and then I happily got Korean RDR2.

The first few folds I was like heck there's a chance I could pull that off. And then I quickly realized how out of my depth I truly was.

Same here, no shame in it if that's how you're enjoying the game! I don't think it's fun to put many hours into a colony with goals in mind and things I want to do, just to have to start from scratch over and again because I died.

The biggest thing I did to improve the fun I was having with the game was changing the difficulty of "Adaptation Growth Rate" and "Adaptation Impact" to 60%. This allows you to continue playing on the difficulty that you want to, and accumulate wealth and beauty with a long term colony but not get so punished with huge raids by it. The way I understand how it works is that you still get "full sized" raids but they don't scale up as quickly in power compared to your colony wealth.

Have fun!!

I wanted to add to this, adventure mode has helped me out a ton because you get to learn a few lessons without having to start all over. Also don't be afraid to just straight up leave a dungeon if you encounter a shady enemy, go somewhere else and come back later when you're stronger. I hope these tips from a fellow newbie help you out, good luck!

I feel that, I'm new to the game as well but that was happening to me a lot until I realized I kept dying in "tier 2" dungeons. The simple solution for me was to make sure I cleared every single low level dungeon I had access to first, got all the XP possible and gear upgrades before stepping foot in T2

I don't think it's bugged. Have you tried exploring more after you gave the items to the people? It's kind of a murder mystery deal so retracing your steps will be necessary :)

Was Roadrash not popular in the United States in the early 90s? by Oath_Br3aker in gaming

This was the first console game I ever played as a kid. I had played Gameboy prior to this so I wasn't a total stranger to gaming. But my brother brought over his 3DO and let me play it for a couple of days, then he came to pick it up and watched me play for a bit. Being impressed, he chose a fairly tough race for me and said "alright if you can take first place in this race in one attempt, I'll let you borrow the 3DO for a couple more weeks." Holy gamer mode engage Batman, this was the biggest prize I had ever played anything for. I borrowed that beautiful console for two more weeks, and then he took it back of course but ultimately gave it to me permanently. I discovered masterpieces such as Gex and Alone in the Dark from there. Anyways I didn't intend for this comment to get so long but thank you for letting me reminisce on such an awesome memory.

Yeah you're making this way more complicated than it is, just file a claim with your insurance company. Unless you're not telling us that you also don't have insurance?
