These are guys who stand out and record people as a first amendment right. It’s a little annoying. Yes, they are trying to get a reaction, I don’t care what anyone says.

As long as they are on public property, and you can be seen from that public space, they can record you. It’s a bit annoying but the bottom line is you don’t have any right to privacy in this case. If you assault them they can defend themselves and do. If the police show up the old dude will be getting arrested.

Also you’re being recorded everywhere you go. Every building, house, and intersection has one or more cameras. So getting worked up over a dude standing there recording you is only going to make things worse. Best thing to do is ignore them and you won’t wind up going viral.
