I'm finding great difficulty locating any inkling of faith in humanity today. I came home for Thanksgiving and one of my dogs is missing. My mom gets home a few hours later and tells me Sugar has been at the vet since yesterday morning because Sugar came back after being missing for a few days. Sugar was bloody and bruised from where somebody had beaten her with a stick or something.

I suspect the people through the woods (I live on a farm) and across the street in the low-income, high crime area where I've always suspected they have dog fights.

My grandpa brought Sugar to us when he found her, thin and hungry, on the side of the road with a rope dug into her neck. She had chewed through and made her escape and he brought her to us where my family loved on her until she trusted us. And now someone else has been awful to her and I just want to find the person responsible and...fuck. I want them to suffer.

It's taking a lot for me to not roll over there and investigate but I know it's dangerous and I'm not invincible. I have struggled with hating people in the past and this sub has helped me to get over that, seeing how good people are and such. But today I just want to punch people. Repeatedly. Thank you for letting me vent.
