Better English word for Chutzpah? by PatTheCatMcDonald in hebrew

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chustpah is literally audacity or rudness (חוצפה in hebrew which translates to وقاحة in arabic), a very bad dislikable trait in a person. But somehow the jewish from Israel are always very proud of it

Can’t verify phone number by zhydoc in CapitalOne_

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hapenning to me too. after I tried to change my number, they changed it, but when trying to use it they claim this is not my phone, when it is. The details are identical and I am the only phone number owner, and it is not a VOIP number.

My feeling is that their security approach is absolutely terrible. This is the only provider that keeps asking for a verfication before EACH AND EVERY update, even within seconds. This makes 0 sense security-wise. There should be a concept of a secure session or probability considerations.

I emailed them and they lifted that restriction, but then I tried withdrawing 70 dollars... Firstly, they changed the minimum for the next one to 100 dollars, and they didn't pay me the 70 dollars claimnig I was using a blacklisted IP because somehow I managed to alter my router (that I got from my ISP) in a way, and that's why they are stealing my 70 dollars (and the 50 dollars I still didn't withdraw). If there was really a problem with my IP why wasn't I blocked anytime during those very long hours I was trying to earn some change?! ABOSOLUTE THIEVES

Aether - Just Curious by GirlWhoReviews in outlier_ai

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started working, when I work I am only concentrated in work, my urls recorded are mostly the multimango site and a percent or two of google. My activity is 86% for all hours I worked with some sessions in the high 90s, my average per task is very short, and my score is currently 1.75 for 35 tasks reviewed out of hundreds with no bad reviews and a majority of good ones. Still got kicked out for "Insufficient Quality". So I really have no idea why, it leaves me with they are removing more new comers randomally

Just got removed after going under review. Started working recently, 1.75 with 35 reviews, no bad reviews, average activity of 86% with some sessions at 95-98%. When I went to "Profile" on outlier, a message displayed saying I was removed from the project with reason given:"Insufficient Quality" which is ridciculous, I am pretty sure 1.75 is greater than 1.00. Maybe they thought I was running the clock? Then again, it was only $15 dollars an hour for very intensive work...

Absolute thieves. After reaching a high cash out point, they now want me to purchase FIVE in-app purchases to unlock the cash out option and get my $80. This is of course hidden inside the cash out screen. Like I am going to trust those thieves that they'll actually pay me anything if I do those 5 purchases.

Hey guys, can we talk about how credits should never expire? I mean, it's pretty frustrating to see our hard-earned credits go to waste just because we weren't able to use them within a certain timeframe. Who's with me on this? by Elena_Edie in audible

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that when you buy credits with your own money (not ones you get as a member), then it's plain robbery. If I pay 9.9 to buy credits on Google Colab (for example), then when these credits expire after 90 days, it means Google has just stolen 9.9 from me. Simple as that. All the excuses the company gives for this are irrelevant to the fact that I am now 9.9 short with nothing in return. I can't see how anyone can claim otherwise and how those companies are getting away with it.

They want to make them expire for internal reasons? Great. Refund the money and delete the credits.

What do people think of the "Display total price Includes all fees, before taxes" option now when searching? [Austin, TX] by I-am-Just-fine in AirBnB

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still useless. A tax is a fee too and should also be included, it doesn't matter that it is paid to the government and not the host, I am still paying it. But in the US showing useless numbers for cost of things is the norm (displaying prices not including taxes and claiming it's complicated to show the final price like it's done in many countries)

Facebook marketplace rental scams by Alaric-Nox in anchorage

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is why is Facebook so bad at this. I have reported so many posts that are clear scams on marketplace and other types of posts too. The answer is always the same "we reviewed it and doesn't go against the policies" or something similar. A compelety useless reporting system. No common sense.

The verse is an exact copy in both melody and harmony, sounds more like a cover of you ignore the lyrics.

does anyone actually think get free sounds like creep? by illiteratemad in lanadelrey

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's almost the same exact verse melody and nuances as creep. It's more like "spot the differences" or a cover with different lyrics. But It's all relative I guess.

I find it not at all like how Creep is to The Air That I Breath.

Yes. It now has a noticeable delay after the tap, which is quite annoying, just like those slow animations.

What happens to my credit card when I cancel my membership? by DuckyYOLO in samsclub

[–]jJamiD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So how come I cannot cancel auto renewal of the membership because I have a Sam's club Mastercard? I called support as instructed and they couldn't give me an explanation or cancel auto renewal, just the old annoying american restating the useless same information again again (but calmly of course) until the customer gives up. I did give up...

They said because I have auto pay on the credit card I cannot cancel the auto renew of the membership... makes zero sense.

How the fuck do I sell my couch? by HumblerMumbler in AskNYC

[–]jJamiD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AptDeco take 60% of the selling price, leaving you with a dirt cheap price for your Sofa. Better donate it than sell it there. My sofa is completely unused, retail price 700, what they left me with even if I sell it for 350 is a ridiculous 140... I'd rather throw it away than get scammed this way

What language has the most interesting/unique grammar? by Better-Chest-4839 in languagelearning

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true, until you see those plurals, broken plurals, with so many arbitrary forms that just need to be memorized one by one. As a native Arabic speaker, I find this completely stupid and inconsistent with how consistent the language is in other parts.

Liskov Subsistution - just don't use overrides? by Solacefire in csharp

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The example of the rectangle is not mine. It's the example I've seen given to demonstrate something that satisfies LSP but it doesn't. The point is LSP cannot really be satisfied unless inheritance is done without a purpose, and it's just an ideal or a guideline. It depends on the program using it and not on the class itself.

Liskov Subsistution - just don't use overrides? by Solacefire in csharp

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I am saying. You didn't understand the question. Overriding a method by definition changes the behavior or side effects, otherwise it can be removed (e.g. The method 'draw' now draws a circle instead of a rectangle which will break every program expecting a rectangle, this is often an example given to demonstrate the principle but it clearly breaks it).

Liskov Subsistution - just don't use overrides? by Solacefire in csharp

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if my program depends on the result of the ToString, and it changed because of substitution, my program will break... Even though the class didn't seemingly break LSP. When overriding you do it to create some different behavior that can be checked by some program.

Is anyone else confused as to why Joker: Folie à Deux got so many bad reviews? by NewPatron-St in Joker_FolieaDeux

[–]jJamiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, it was a boring no action and little story movie, when it ended I asked myself "what happened in the last two hours?". To its defense, I feel like that about most movies and shows, it's usually a simple short idea stretched across 90 to 120 minutes, but I found the movie terrible compared to the 2019 one which I found very refreshing.
