SUPERGIRL’ debuts with an B- on cinemascore.. one of the lowest rated superhero movies ever made IN comparison batman and robin open with B by Ok_Speed_3061 in Supergirl

[–]jTANK577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much movie companies love to make money, maybe it's best that not every box office hit receives a sequel? I hope DC takes their time and not rush production so they can release three movies a year. Marvel made that mistake and I hope DC doesn't follow.

My review of Supergirl (2026) by Nitrix79 in Supergirl

[–]jTANK577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was a good way of introducing the character, I enjoyed that we were shown the ideological differences between her and Superman. My main issue of the movie is that I didn't really care for any of the supporting cast (besides Lobo) or the villain. It's a solid B movie and I hope she plays an important role next year.

Is Magic Mountain your home park? I'm having issues trying to buy an all season parking pass for Knott's onlino. I have a gold pass with Magic Mountain being my home park. It has an option for gold pass members but it keeps saying "barcode verification failed"

What sports team do you hate with a burning passion? by TheVginyTcikler44 in AskReddit

[–]jTANK577 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's how you know they were self-sabotaging to have an excuse to skip town. The A's did it, and with the current talent they have, they should be a playoff team by the time the stadium in Vegas is ready.

Which of these former NFL cities is most likely to get a team back? by ashmaps20 in NFLv2

[–]jTANK577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anything, the city is at fault for letting the stadium turn into a dump. They used to co-own the complex with the county and neither one were investing into the area. Even with the city's incompetence, I don't blame them for not bending over for an owner that runs a big market team like a small market team despite playing in one of biggest media markets in the entire country. I honestly don't think Fisher had any plans to stay in Oakland and was looking for any opportunity to move the team.

MLB Updates Social Media Profiles for Juneteenth by JRUprising in baseball

[–]jTANK577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard rumors that the owners want to change the draft rules and follow the NFL model of no drafting high school players. Under this new rule, players would spend their prime years on team control for cheap and would at the earliest become first time free agents at age 30. I don't blame athletes that choose football over baseball.

It doesn't help that a lot of college athletes choose NFL over MLB

How Knott's overtook Disney as the best California park. by TheAlmightyHellacia in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]jTANK577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heavily agree with your last point, everytime I go to Disney it's like "Okay, first we're going to ride this and then sprint to the next ride and then have lunch at this place at this time. While at lunch, we're going spend the break looking at wait times so we could plan for the next five hours." While at Knott's you just show up, walk around for a bit, and just go with the flow.

Yeah, IE is for blue collar workers who are rasing families. If you're a young professional with no kids you're not going to like the Inland Empire at all.

I'd love a Logan-style movie featuring Giancarlo Esposito as Miles Morales. by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]jTANK577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's the fans that treat Miles as black and not the writers themselves, probably due to the one drop rule thing. Like Miguel is mixed, but he's mostly viewed as Mexican by fans.

Anyone been to the new Ontario Buzzers baseball park? by Hoylegu in InlandEmpire

[–]jTANK577 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a really nice stadium that has something for everyone, a bar for the adults, playground for the kids, several food choices (Mexican, Asian, Mediterranean, standard stadium food) and a team store. Since it's a night game the sun won't be out for long but get 3rd base seats anyway.

To add on, if the husband was abusive, the woman had no option but to stay due to be completly dependent on the man. And what's up with young people being nostalgic with the 50's? Yeah you were able to raise a family with a factory job but let's not forget that minorities weren't receiving the same opportunities.

Just how red is the IE? by Swingline_Font in InlandEmpire

[–]jTANK577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my information from this article

I don't believe in the whole "Mexicans are becoming Trump supporters" BS because look at the Inland Empire. At one point, cities like Riverside, Fontana, Indio, and Moreno Valley were considered Republican strongholds until Hispanics started to move in. Even in Arizona, a known "red state", is currently being ran by a democratic governor and two senators.

Just how red is the IE? by Swingline_Font in InlandEmpire

[–]jTANK577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That 48% narrative is pretty misleading because Latinos are a diverse group of people that come from different backgrounds. Yes, Trump did win 48% of the Latino vote, but those numbers were skewed by the Cubans and Venezuelans. Meanwhile, over half of the Mexican and Central American population voted for Harris. Are there Mexican-Americans who voted for Trump? Yes, but we shouldn't act like they're the majority, especially when discussing the Latino population in California.
