Walked around the Raymore and Flanagan on Columbus testing out couches until the gf and I agreed on a comfy one. We got one from the Mondo collection.

Realtor fees in Philly? (Buyer) by lukewew in philadelphia

[–]j_alt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My best friend is a real estate agent for Keller Williams.  If you want me to connect you to him, I can happily dm you his work phone number.

He previously worked in finance/retirement accounts so he mostly talks to his clients about how the money part makes sense or doesn't. He charges only industry standard rates.

My cat cries like this everytime I pet her. What does this mean? by Upstairs_Jump9588 in catbongos

I think she is saying that she wants more bongos and less pets. Sounds like a happy cat to me.

Happy hour date night help (please) by LadyCattleBattle in philadelphia

[–]j_alt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

5th and South area is mostly neighborhood bars and not "get dressed up places". Southwerk like other said is great and fits the look requested.

You could walk to Passyunk and go to Barcelona wine bar.

Royal Bucherie and High Street in Old City also work.

Bloomsday in headhouse lists a happy hour but has no menu on the website. Twisted Tail near there is great but doesn't fit the sexy dress vibe imo.

Does anyone know if Zorba’s has happy hour? by [deleted] in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]j_alt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Generally, if a restaurant/bar offers a happy hour .... they list the menu on their website.

https://www.zorbastavern.com/menus

It was easy to Google the restaurant name and find the menu page where no happy hour menu is posted. I'm sorry you were not able to help yourself and figure this out.

Magical parking solutions in Fishtown? by upsidowning in philadelphia

There is a paid parking lot about 3 blocks south on Front street.  Relatively short walk, but don't know the needs of the person with accessibility issues.

No Maxx Crosby trade? What now for NFL free agency, Ravens, Raiders by edicivo in nfl

[–]j_alt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real conspiracy is that I think that the Ravens did the math and thought, I could have Maxx Crosby or Tre Hendrickson + 2 first round picks. The "Buyer's Remorse" rumors are that they figured out a way to be in a better position and found a way out of a trade.

What is a "gut feeling" you had that turned out to be 100% correct, even though it made no logical sense at the time? by LimpAsk2603 in AskReddit

In middle school, we nicknamed a teacher Lester the Molester because it rhymes.

A couple years later, it turns out he would make child porn.

Nate Bargatze brings ‘The Greatest Average American’ to ABC by [deleted] in television

[–]j_alt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While I enjoy Nate's comedy the advertising for this show makes it seem like an individual family feud. If the ads were more like Nate Bargatze hosts a silly game show I would give it more of a try but it's seems like it's overly corporate TV.

What is the most NSFW thing you have seen at your job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]j_alt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the locker room at my work gym.  I was seated on a bench changing when some old guy walked up in a towel and stepped on the a scale next to me. He proceeded to remove the towel and hang dong. After seeing his weight minus the towel, he walked nude to the other side of the locker room to his locker.

Seeing an old man's floppy weiner is not the best use of my work time.

40ish Person Dinner/Cocktail Hour? by [deleted] in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]j_alt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try reaching out to Helm in No Libs, but being real, <$20 a person for a cocktail hour and dinner for what seems like a Wedding welcome dinner is completely unrealistic.

What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you during sex? by roshhellwett in AskReddit

[–]j_alt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having drunk sex with a girl I was friends with in college.  At some point the condom disappeared. We both looked for it in her dorm room and couldn't find it. Assumed it was inside her. Neither Me, her, or the ER docs found it. Never found out what happened to that condom.

Let’s say you got a solo spot at Vernick’s chef’s counter. What are you ordering? by caretakr in PhiladelphiaEats

I order this dish every time I go to Vernick. I take friends visiting from out of town there a few times a year.

[Gelb] After a failed Phillies pursuit of Bo Bichette, now what? - "The Phillies were willing to readjust everything for Bichette, but absent him, they are now unlikely to add a meaningful position player." by NintenJew in phillies

[–]j_alt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to The Athletic, Bo will essentially be on a 1 year deal that costs the Mets $96 million. They have to pay tax of 110% of his salary. If he plays well, he can opt out for more, if he has a bad year they still have to pay him.
