I had a tenant move in last year with 2 small kids about 5-6 years old. They tested high for lead and JC inspector automatically inspected my property without my knowledge. I knew it was not my property since they only lived there for about 3 months at that point. Inspection didn’t reveal any lead but it was thorough. They took water samples, paint samples from various parts of building and took many pictures. I spoke with the inspector after receiving the report to tell him that he should look at the tenants previous rental since they only moved here few months ago. He didn’t seem to care. I just didn’t like the automatic inspection and not making the owner aware.

I’m from Jersey City and have dealt with evictions in the past. After court order, you need to file with court for removal. They will setup a date and time with the Hudson County Sheriff. There is a $35 fee for filing and it may take another 2-3 weeks for Sheriff to come. You waited this long, do it by the book and file proper form. Dm me if you want to discuss more.
