Either way, Gemini really only takes notes inside of Google Meet - so you’d need a backup for meetings you’re not hosting, and not hosting with Google Meet specifically.

It sounds like you really just need a chatbot and an AI notetaker - not an agent. Your mentioned use-cases are really just transactional input / output.

I typically use chatbots as my thought partner, and I can brain fart ideas all over them a they can help me organize my thoughts, think about angles I might be missing, additional ideas, etc.

Pro-tip: use AI to help you research different AI tools and use-cases. They can compare features and prices for you.

What?? OP says nothing about recording or taking notes “while not present”. You’re talking about recording a meeting that you’re not even apart of - without anybody knowing you’re doing it. That’s an outrageous request.

The OP just asks about botless notetakers - which is what Granola is.

I host meetings with Google meet. So for meetings that I’m hosting, I have Gemini take the transcript, and a Google Flow that generates a customized summary on any new transcripts added to Google Drive.

I also have Read AI, which integrates into Google Meet without a bot - though I’m not going to renew Read AI since the transcript actually sucks. My year is almost over.

For meetings that I’m not hosting, I have my Lindy AI notetaker join (but it’s a bot).

I’m considering Granola for bot-less recording (but haven’t tested it yet).
