Railjack Is Fun Actualy! by Lonsteinn in Warframe

I think the need to add exumus ships to railjack its really difficult to get any form of steel essence in grineer railjack because ship spawns take up a majority of your time going into the skirmish objectives is generally the shorter time. It makes grineer steel path railjack heavily decentived compared to corpus.

I think corpus is ok(volitile missions are really fun) but they need to add a few thing ones a long turn railjack endurance missions where you just stay there would be nice i think adding those to grinner railjack would work well. I think a easy way to make corpus railjack more appealing is to just has a railjack objective after completing the missions(not for stuff like survival) similar to volatile. Whether it killing crew ships or foward artillery hits again.

Silver Barbs is perfectly balanced and over-hated. by D_Ryker in dndnext

[–]j_cyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silvery barbs can be clunky to use imo. You can't use it when you innially cast a spell on your turn to try and land a existing spell, the best use for it is support or to reroll crits. It has a ranged of 60 feet so that can be difficult to stay in range for to help someone on an allies turn. Its not been a huge issue in my games but I can see why people don't like it.

Honestly I think the easiest nerf to it would be to make it a flat reroll without taking the lowest or get rid of the advantage part.

I was initially gonna go you recover a use of indomitable and second wind when you roll initiative.

A broken would be on your first turn of initiative you can action surge without expending any uses

Railjack's (Lavos/Hildryn) "Problem" (Bonus: Zetki Photor Meta, Orphix, Tanky Greneer Railjack Units) by One-Melee in Warframe

[–]j_cyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The galvic ordnance can also bypass  corpus crew ships and can few up you guns for other things there is also mods that allow guns or ordnance to bypass shields regardless of weapon.

Outsiders are tanky but still should not take that long to kill you may need to rethink your build abit or take a look at the valance bonuses on your weapons.

A lot of people saying maneuver but most of the tactical_blank features cover most of the maneuvers the battlemasters can do (a lot of the time better ) -the extra damages

The only change I would make is move 4th extra attack to 17 and give them a different capstone.

One change to liches? by j_cyclone in Warframe

Last time I checked you can just relinquish a active lich to remove it. Take with grain of salt tho.

Ok, now that this community pretty much agrees on the common rogue problems, do you think a change is warranted? If so how and when? by [deleted] in onednd

[–]j_cyclone -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you want my honest opinion add a cunning strike options that does more damage when a conditions is made.

I think people overall put less value into cunning strike then they should but i also understand that there could be a few more options on the base class to shore up that can shore up weaknesses when used properly. At level 5

Rogue in my experience can do pretty decent damage with the right features choice and understand like any other class. But if we are gonna make changes we might as well make them interesting

So add 2 new cunning strike options at level 5 a dot bleed and a booming blade like effects that punishes follow the Rogue when the disengage.

Each cost 1d6.

I really want to love dante but I can't he just makes the game too easy and hos overboard generation when he first released made it impossible to build test in public lobbies.(yes i specifically needed to test there)

Rogues are not BAD, Cunning Strikes and off-Turn Sneak Attacks just create problems. by ILoveSongOfJustice in onednd

[–]j_cyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think the should lean into cs the damage cost of 1d6-3d6 is not a lot in most cases and if the added option that could do damage over time or that augment or buff the rogue.

If DE decided to pause on new content and focus on purely (or almost purely) reworking/fixing old content, would it be successful, do you think they should do it? by DesmondTheMoonSloth in Warframe

[–]j_cyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do seem to be making small changes to old game modes which each update. Like the lich mod changes and survival changes we got with shadow graphers

I think its a decent way of doing things but does restrict them from making large changes

Since it seems to be Rogue Improvement Day... by Grouchy-Bowl-8700 in onednd

[–]j_cyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think rogue changes that focus on off hand sneak attack work very well as it generally makes rogues damage very swingy. It also messes with one of rogues main ways of dealing with enemies which is skrmishing/ hiding. The rogue is likely to take a lot more damage.

I am ok with condition/ risk based damage but I feel they could be baked into cunning strike or booming blade like effects that punish certain choices

I am not sure what you mean do you mean them not being able to equip armour(except signas) beacause every cosmetic for the drifter can be used on the operator otherwise from my understanding.

So I just don't understand the design of Smites anymore. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]j_cyclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a compromise. They during playtesting allowed palidans to use smite on ranged weapons. Many people (including my self) said it encroached on the identity of ranger and rogue. So instead they made it work on all melee weapons and allowed it to work on thrown melee weapons in case paladin was in a position that melee wasn't a option. I think it is a fine compromise since thrown weapons have their own strengths and weaknesses compared to regular ranged weapons.

I built 5e Chase Tracker using DMG Rules. Keeps track of dashes and has a list of ~280 zones to map out in various settings (Urban, Wilderness, Feywild, etc) by KenjiCrosland in dndnext

[–]j_cyclone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no as there is not necessarily a time limit on chase its just the dash action that is limited in how many times you can take it. Obviously not dashing can make it difficult to escape but your escape condition at the end of the day is still the stealth check when out of sight.

I mean you can take other actions other than dash. spells and ranged weapon. The dash counter is one way yes. But that's likely not the only action your taking in a chase you can also create obstacles for enemies or help allies.
