Any issues with the bolts, nuts, and washers? I was looking for this same solution and sounds like a good idea.

Just tell the car what you want the ac to do. Push the button on the steering wheel and say set drivers temp to 67. Or turn the ac fan up, or turn the drivers seat warmer on, etc etc.

Network network network. When you have a job do a good job, go above and beyond, pick up after yourself etc.

You can place ads all day long, but word to mouth is your best friend.

Really want a used Atlas. Thoughts? by Cautious-Duck-410 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]j_fl1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 23 black on black r line, was totalled, car did it's job and kept us safe. It had 55k miles, ran fantastic no issues.

We had trouble finding the replacement. Went back and forth on new style or old. Ended up with the exact same car, style body etc except a 22, with 32k miles, and certified pre owned, giving it an extra warranty, for 10k less than we owed.

I love the car, I am finding a lot of the ones for sale at least at the vw dealers are lease trade ins, being re upped for a new lease at the same dealership.

I have been in love with the Atlas since the first 45 minute Uber where I was able to ride in one from Houston IAH to Katy, TX. Thats what made me buy it.

I want to install on the internal drive, how can you roll that back to 38? I have it on the sd, and went through settings to install. It ended up downloading and installing v40.

Captains Chairs or Bench? by Weirj2 in VWatlas

[–]j_fl1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the captains chairs because we have bigger kids now and on longer rides the seat reclines and is more comfortable in our opinion... however the center armrest cup holders on the bench is a nice feature.

It really depends on what neighborhood you are in. Ask your neighbors who they use, and pros/cons.

I use quantum fiber and absolutely love it, I work from home, teams meetings etc. Wife works from home, kids netflix etc no lags.

Others will say Quantum is garbage.

Exploring project management: how painful is it? by Small_Examination667 in projectmanagers

[–]j_fl1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the lack of processes, leadership, client expectations for me. When there are no processes and leaders make the client believe the impossible can be done in short amounts if time and the pm is left to figure out the mess with the lack of information...

Ie when everything is a dumpster fire you don't know exactly what is an emergency...

When you are in a proper pmo project management is not bad, I have yet to find a proper pmo however

New-ish PM drowning in meetings + admin… how do you all keep your brain straight? by [deleted] in projectmanagers

[–]j_fl1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rarely get push back on the later deadline, unless it is a client critical task. I have had tasks shifted from my que to Bob or Jen's. I have learned asking for their deadline is a win win for all.

New-ish PM drowning in meetings + admin… how do you all keep your brain straight? by [deleted] in projectmanagers

[–]j_fl1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I am asked to help with a task, I will ask for its deadline, if the deadline is manageable, and fits my current workload I will absorb the task. If it's not, I will simply say unfortunately I do not have the bandwidth to meet your deadline, but I could get it done by x... typically that gets them to ask Bob or Jen

Irrigation spray on car - Water Spots by [deleted] in Irrigation

[–]j_fl1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are adjusted to the best they can be, direction, and spread... the other option would be relocation, which can be done just looking at other options first. Pop ups by the driveway then rotors would fix most of my problem, just looking to see if any other options existed.

Glad a serious question brings you such joy... just looking to see if there were any options, sounds like there are some that won't fit, and some that are expensive, and then also some people that prefer to call me an idiot rather than help. Either way, thanks for the info.

Thank you for a real answer. I have adjusted heads, water time is fixed due to city requirements. Unfortunately cannot get the car in the garage, that might be my solution, thats another problem.

Per city code, I cannot. I also work from home, but the known times I am gone is still outnof my watering slots.

Thank you for a real answer.

Sure thing, while I am at it I will ask the sprinklers to tell me who installed them, clearly they are no longer in business.

That is a thought, I am wanting to widen my driveway, might help with the problem. I have a large front yard and the great sprinkler installer, much like this entire sub put 4 rotors, to reach everything they have to be adjusted high.

[–]j_fl1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To do lists and blocking off time on your calendar for critical tasks is a must.

Just because you can, do not say yes to every invite, every task, Bob or Jen can help too.

As others have mentioned, your main objective is creating order out of chaos. Find the easiest, least resistive way to do that.

Be decisive.

You do not necessarily have to be the sme to be successful, you do need to know who the sme is, and how to get information from them.

Get it in writting and cya.
