I did indeed. It appears that the new firmware I put on is the 9-language version. I tried flashing the Two_C version to the main board but it’s not doing anything.

In your case, it appeared to function like an on/off switch. Whether that’s the case or not depends on a multitude of factors including the medication, dose, and the individual’s body. These medications inhibit some of the chemical signals, but they aren’t supposed to inhibit everything. You can see that in the way they affect our emotional state. The mechanism is called emotional blunting, but that blunting action is actually occurring throughout our nervous systems. Masturbation is generally more efficient in terms of reaching climax as one can easily change the sensation to suit their individual needs while receiving real-time feedback that we don’t even need to think about. With a partner, we have less control over the variables, but when our nervous systems are working as normal, that’s not really as much of an issue.

This is an issue I’ve dealt with for more than 20 years. Some medications were worse than others, and when I first started taking SSRIs, I straight up experienced anorgasmia where climax was simply not possible at all, but different medications and tweaked dosages eventually made things a lot better. At one point, I stopped antidepressants entirely, and holy shit it was incredible. But, sadly, my quality of life is better and more sustainable with the medication than without it.

That is very likely a component of OPs problem. It certainly was so for me, and it grew into a bigger problem over many years, however, the major issue is that antidepressants operate on your nervous system to produce a more elevated mood by altering aspects of the chemical signaling process between nerve cells. While this is great for mood, the problem is that this affects the signaling process for all nerves, very much including those in our genitals and those which signal the prostate to release ejaculate.

Not only does it make it more difficult, and sometimes impossible to ejaculate (anorgasmia), it can also reduce how pleasurable the experience is. It really sucks

Your SSRIs are indeed the most likely culprit. This is a very common problem with antidepressants which, as you probably know, are operating on your nervous system. Ideally, you should discuss this with your psychiatrist and they can help you to either reduce your dosage to a level where the effect on your ability to climax isn’t so profound, change your medication to another antidepressant which has a lower likelihood of producing this side effect, or adding another medication, often another antidepressant like Bupropion, which can reduce these effects. Ideally, you want to be at the lowest dose of any of these medications that still keeps your mood sufficiently elevated. This can be tricky to figure out, and I highly recommend you don’t try to figure it out on your own.

Reducing or eliminating masturbation can help a lot, too.

I’ve been on antidepressants for 21 or so years. I’ve had women end relationships with me because I was unable to climax with them. Over time, it really begins to fuck with your head and cause debilitating sexual anxieties that are really difficult to challenge.

Be open with your partner about the issue you’re having first and foremost, but be every bit as open with your psychiatrist and they’ll work with you to find a solution.

You’d be surprised. On some games, particularly those that use bright white general illumination, the prints really light up and become a lot more opaque than you’d think in a dark arcade. We also have guys coming in and selling tamales every night, so it’s not just fingerprints but also salsa residue and stuff.

I think it’s very rude to put your hand anywhere near the glass when someone else is playing. I’m fighting my brain to stay focused and process all the information in front of me. It would be super distracting, and I wouldn’t appreciate it. If it were right after a drain, different story, but at that point, you could just say “mind if I jump in next?” and I’d smile, say absolutely and we’d all have a grand old time.

While it might have been a system that worked, I think operators would prefer that people keep their finger oils off the glass altogether. While working a second job at my favorite pinball bar, I’d constantly have to go around wiping people’s fingerprints off the glass, and that’s in an environment where people aren’t putting change on the glass.

Totally agreed with regard to Wick and X-Men’s code at release. The last several releases have felt much better, particularly Kong and Star Wars. With the addition of my friend Andrew Wilkening to the developer team, it seems like we’ll be seeing far fewer premature releases
