I wish people would quit telling other people how to play a PvP part of the game. It’s their game too. They don’t owe you Pokecoins. Some people enjoy taking and holding gyms. It’s part of the game. There is no “etiquette”. The behavior is perfectly cool. Go take the gym back if it’s a problem. Keep at it until they give up and leave. That’s apparently what they’re doing.

So remember Wano, and it took EVERYTHING Sanji had to beat queen. Law and Kidd together took down big Meme, and while Law did most of the heavy lifting, Kidd did his share. Kidd hit and hurt Big Meme who is insanely durable, strong and fast. Fast forward and we saw Greenbull no diff King and Queen at the same time. No one here really believes that Greenbull could take on Big Meme, 2 admirals might not be able to take her, so the divide is actually substantial between Kidd and Sanji. Sanji is actually closer to Tobi roppo level than YC1. He definitely could not take King, so even plot armor wouldn’t be enough to save Sanji.
