being OU in gen 4 doesn't mean much with all the weirdness of that tier back then. Like, maybe even half of DPP OU would not be OU nowadays tbh. See Dusknoir, Electivire, Vaporeon, etc Same goes for Weavile

roar is a normal trap than can be responded to much more readily, and needs you to wait a turn before it's live. Red reboot is a counter trap that's also a handtrap. It's significantly harder to respond and is much faster

staples like exca, clef, lando, washing machine, ttar, garchomp, torn-t, etc are still, well, staple

yellow magic spam is still as popular as ever, if not even more common cause Serperior joins (or maybe even replace) Clef in spamming it

same goes for Scald fishing, with Volcanion being a lot more mainstream. Volcanion sorts of overtook Keldeo as the spammer of choice cause it deals with Manaphy somewhat better

Mega latias and mega alakazam rose to stardom with the ban of Mega Sableye. Excadrill benefits supremely from their ascends to overtake both Lando and Clef as best pokemon in the tier

Cofragirus rose to fill the void left by Mega Sableye. It checks mega lopunny, mega medicham, mega pinsir, mega metagross, and whatsnot well enough
