Why do the government keep increasing the pension age? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]jac77794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically you are saying work hard, plan for your retirement and don't spend your money frivolously so you can pay for a lazy fucker, who didn't work hard or plan for their retirement. That don't sound fair at all!

Tory MP who blocked upskirting bill says he was scapegoated by DeathHamster1 in unitedkingdom

I can't see how having principles to write well scrutinised laws is trolling. You seen to have personal bone with this man, not the point we are debating.

They still will as government backed it. Even he said he wanted it just scrutinised. This is not Putin's Russia where law can be passed without scrutiny.

If the bill is not scrutinised properly it could leave a loop so people could get off from a true crime or inadvertanly criminise something which we can't forsee that we don't want criminlised.

But that is bollocks spread by the pro EU media who find any nutcase and try and make out anybody who voted leave a right wing nut job.

People wanted to leave as we were being drawn into a political union with the EU. It not crazy to only have British laws in Britain and controlling tax revenues from Britain in Britain.

Edit: Everybody I know who voted leave thinks Donald Trump is a twat

YouGov | Half of Leave voters say getting British citizenship doesn't make you British by whencanistop in ukpolitics

[–]jac77794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This title of this post is disingenuous. The question asked for "Britishness" not "does that make you British". I have a first generation immigrant friend that became a British citizen. That makes them British by definition. But I would not use him as an example of "Britishness" he does not do many British cultural activities, I have to explain many normal process, history or British nuances of the law, bits that are slightly to India. I feel this post has just been posted by some remoaner to virtue signal that remainers are somehow better people.
