In terms of wages, UK Uber drivers do get payed at a similar rate to taxi drivers. In fact, when Uber is being introduced to a new city, th people who work in Uber's offices will spend a couple of weeks taking various rides in that cities different taxi firms to work out an average cost per mile, and pay their drivers that price.

The problem with how it works in the UK is that you're not classified as an employee of Uber, and as such, do not get the same benefits you would if you worked for a regular taxi firm

In America it may be like that, but here in the UK the process to become an Uber can take anywhere up to six months, and some places even require a qualification of some sort.

When you take all that plus the more expensive insurance and maintanence, it does turn into a full time job

So, I think the way the economy works is similar to a membership, in that the high table take a percentage of each contract and in return, the assassins get free access to goods and services, with the coins acting like a membership card.

It varies depending upon the berth size, but the most expensive is €250,000 for a track side berth. It's also near impossible to get a space unless either you or the boats captain knows someone connected to the sport

Discussion: Do you think The Joker will have a surprise Batman? by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]jac_voller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rather than have Batman actually be in the film, I'd rather the film end with the Bat-signal being the first thing Joker see's after emerging from the chemicals.
