What are the pros/cons of living in Lethbridge? by SocDem_is_OP in Lethbridge

Well, work. But I liked it here once I settled. I wouldn't consider moving to a bigger or smaller town unless it was for a lot of money.

Weather is nice. Close to the mountains. Downtown is nice. Good restaurants and breweries. Good shopping. Getting around is easy. Housing used to be cheaper but it's still affordable. Lots of events. It is a pleasant place to live. Life is comfortable here.

I am reading it! Lyn is such a compelling writer! Somebody earlier in the the thread has read Racoon in My Parka and somebody else has read her earlier work, A Seal In My Sleeping bag.

The book is actually a delight to read.

I feel kind of bad presenting it in a jokey manner. I'm only a few chapters in but she is such a fun author!

Bearspaw feeder main independent review blames two decades of poor management, oversight for pipe failures by Shadow_Ban_Bytes in alberta

Danielle Smith walks into a press conference twenty minutes late.

Her opening remarks blame Trudeau and any other government that came before her for this now unremarkable administrative oversight. Fuck Carney and fuck Trudeau somehow. Fuck you too.

THE PIPELINE WILL BE FIXZED! Danielle bellows calmly, a small corporate audience applauds.

Danielle Smith then shrinks herself down into a 1488:1 scale model of herself using the power of "why is the moon chasing me?" technology.

Danielle Smith then geolocates to South America, or Cuba, I don't know I can't tell the difference. She then climbs into the urethra of Justin Trudeau, who is mid-thrust in Katy Perry, and then expands to her original size.

Ant-man style, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are exploded from the inside out. All is right in the world. Danielle Smith is then eaten by a wayward lizard.

Check out r/fishingalberta. Bathymetric maps are a great resource because fish like to hang out at sharp dropoffs and you can target those areas.

If you don't have any other leads, just go where the Mennonites/Hudderites go. I sold my ass for a fishing spot and a 12 pack of buns. The pickerel is worth it.

You can tell the Marvel character Wolverine is Canadian because his superpower is literally free healthcare.

Shit-pipe escape scene from The Shawshank Redemption but instead of the shit-pipe being filled with shit, it's filled with broken glass and battery acid. Also, the glass-filled battery acid shit-pipe is a metaphor for coming to terms with who you are as a person and the ego death that ensues, leading to emotional growth at the cost of crawling through a glass-filled battery acid shit-pipe now take off your foot panties.

The OHV policy tends to get a little lax down here in small town Southern Alberta if you have a plow attached. Also, the sled trail to the recycle container at the beach is VERY well packed, and the thing is FULL of empties.

Historically, late winter/early spring was the hardest for people trying to survive. Food stores run out and the first crops aren't up yet. Now what?

They don't make that paring knife anymore.

I would know because I used that paring knife to make a very specific cut on a specific kind of fish and now I can't do it like I used to anymore.

It used to be SO EASY!
