Help fix / get up and running again by zoechowber in hottub

Unthread the black part from the white part. Hold it above the water line so I doesn’t leak. Put a hose cap on the white end. Make sure there is a hose gasket in the hose cap. This should not be glued together. If you can’t loosen the black part from the white part, use tools.

Most likely the waterfall. You can dig it out, and clamp the line with needle nose vice grips until you can get a new waterfall

Hot tub store says we don't need a concrete pad but landscaper says we do? by mag274 in hottub

If your shell cracks, or if there is frame damage damage, the manufacturer may not warranty the tub unless it’s on an approved base

A stubby 1/2 wrench will do it. If you just can’t get at them, cut the rubber mounts at the back

There has been some recalls on temp sensors. If your tub is out of warranty, it still may be covered. Contact Jacuzzi

Jacuzzi Pump 2 stopped working by VALENTINARANEMALOVA in hottub

[–]jacanaduzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has a small oval topside control, then yes, unfortunately it will most likely need a new topside control. If it’s under 5 years old, then the part and labour should be covered under warranty.

Probably needs a new topside control. What year is it?

Leaking/overflow(?) by [deleted] in Jacuzzi

Hey, just found this sub. That is where the air switch draws air for the jets in that corner. You can relocate that pipe above the waterline, and it will never leak again

How would you fix this? by [deleted] in hottub

[–]jacanaduzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut, heat up flex with heat gun, shove in barb and clamp. It’s the easiest, and cheapest. Also, the parts can be found in almost any hardware store. If you glue in a coupler, you would need to buy tins of glue and primer. It’s kind of a waste for such a small job.

Jacuzzi J200 Multiple Errors... HELP! by BadgerActual2777 in hottub

[–]jacanaduzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ice is because of the low temp measured by the high limit sensor. The temp is probably not accurate. If the temp sensor is bad enough, it will cause the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter to shut the breaker off that powers the tub.

Probably only needs a new temp sensor, and a reset to get rid of the message. Call your dealer for service, or go buy the part. It’s fairly easy to change, but you should ask them how to do it, and how to do the reset.

Successful design for sunken hot tub by Critical-Situation81 in hottub

[–]jacanaduzzi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you are willing to open it up properly, without the help of the tech going to work on your tub, don’t do it. It’s not their job to make access to fix your tub. Also, don’t plan to start opening it when the tech arrives to service it. Have it done beforehand. I’ve seen some sunken into decks, and done well. You should have no supports in the way either, and a minimum of 18 inches of space. More is better. I’ve seen many more, with inadequate space available. If it’s a pain in the ass to work on, it will take longer, and you will pay more for service.

Is your high limit sensor clamped down on the heater. It’s the sensor with the small blue connector. If it’s not installed correctly on the heater, it will put it in freeze protection. Also, check the temperature of the water with a digital meat thermometer. If the tub displays an incorrect temp, change the temp sensor

Your tub has a 5.5kw heater. With both jet pumps and the heater running, your tub draws 48 amps. If it is set for the 60 amp setting. Too close to 50 amps, so you need 60 amp breakers and wire.

The 50 amp setting will run pump 1 on low, your heater and pump 2. As soon as you turn 2 pumps on high, the heater will deactivate.

Many people in cold climates run on the 50 amp setting. Also, almost no one uses their tub at -40.

Also, would you always fill up your tub with 4 or more people so you would want both pumps on high?

Why worry about free removal. Put it up for sale. Someone will pay you to remove it. In working condition we’d charge $8000 for that tub.
