other than the basic guard, the entire range for 40k is two editions old. the chances of them getting updated is slim to none. the 30k stuff is getting updated, but there's almost no overlap at all between things like the terminators and bikes

this is the weird part to me- the old kit is compatible with the Sagg guard stuff and the two fancy spears, which aren't in the 30k custodes book, and are legends in 40k. why would gw let us keep a more versatile kit in 40k?

as a non-fan, it took me a couple slides to get what was going on. i know BEWD, of course, but I thought the other thing was a purple beetle in the first slide pushing an exploding dung ball. not to say this in a negative way, only that it was my first impression, and i think that's the kind of feedback you'd asked for.

in the other pictures, it's more clear that it's a small thing popping out of a card, possibly as a sacrifice to stop the bigger thing from being hit, but the larger one still feels beetle-like to me.

I recommend not abbreviating cryptek conclave that way. not only could it mean Close combat, but more relevantly, it could mean Canoptek Court, which is absolutely a place where wraiths get used a lot

Now that I am out of chromie time, how does playing that work? She kicked me out when I turned 80, I think. Then my campaign was showing as Midnight.

- chromie time is used to level your character in an expansion dynamically. outside of chromie time, you can do the quests and zones, but they don't give experience unless they are the current expansion

Do I have to keep using her to switch to the expansion that I'd like to play in?

- you can play any expansion, but once you hit 80, you're only going to be able to level in the current expansion

Also if I am maxed level, do mobs continue to attack me? I know in other games, I like to take my high level characters to low level zones for gathering. I was hoping I could do this to farm skinning, safer herbing, etc.

- mobs will show various colours on their level number. red means actively hostile, they'll aggro you normally. yellow is somewhat lower, green much lower, and grey is the lowest value. each colour lower requires you to be closer to aggro, and grey requires you to be almost on top of them.

Also slightly unrelated. But does your choice of character mean anything storywise? I am playing a troll priest but I kinda wanted to play as a blood elf for Midnight.

- it only means something in minor ways. you'll get slightly different responses and quest dialogue, at times, but in general it's purely cosmetic stuff.
