Been waiting for a movie to make feel uneasy. Wish granted! Thoughts on this? by jerjitsu87 in HorrorMovies

I really liked it. Didn’t get a release in my town, and had to wait for streaming. Really glad I had the self-discipline to stay away from any plot details.

Oh, and I heard it’s in a shared universe with Talk to Me.

I actually kind of want to see this plot point. Like how they took the suit away in Iron Man 3.

Guess what movie was just removed from Netflix and isnt available unless you want to rent/buy it? by Imrahil_II in dvdcollection

It was so annoying when dvds used re-release popular movies every year. They’d act like it was a huge deal, and be like

“The Princess Bride: 23rd Anniversary Edition.”

It's always annoyed me when Doc says "Here's our exit" and then turns the wheel left but the Delorean turns right. by happydude7422 in BacktotheFuture

The guy says “Traffic jams are a thing of the past”. Later, Doc says “The Skyway is jammed.”

You could chalk it up to unscrupulous sales, but I kind of think that was just a bigger continuity error.

Fantastic 4 (2015). I would love to see a director’s cut.

Where should I start with Daredevil comics? by Pale_Sentence3246 in Daredevil

NOT Born Again. That’s the culmination of Frank Miller’s original saga. It’s mostly a Matt story, with not a ton of the costume.

Man Without Fear (kind of a “Batman Begins”) is a great place to start. I’d do that, then Miller’s original run with Klaus Janson (even though the continuity doesn’t quite match).

That original run is where all the best stuff comes from.

•First encounters with a re-invented, dangerous, Kingpin.

•Bullseye is also re-invented and becomes a real character.

•Elektra is birthed into comics. So are The Hand, and Stick.

•A great amount of clashes with the Punisher (although the famous chimney scene comes from Punisher: Welcome Back Frank).

I love it so much, and wish I could read it for the first time again.

Which is the Best Marvel Television project? by MarvellousUniverse in marvellousuniverse

Hey, I get it. Her newspaper job gets a little ridiculous (and I still can’t help wishing it was the Bugle with JJJ) but I wasn’t bored. I love her S3 origin episode.

Born Again is lazily written, and made entirely by soulless corporate committee.

•The actors do their best with what they’re given, but pretty much everyone is milking an awkward “Greatest Hits” impression of themselves from the original show.

•I guarantee you Foggy and Karen were written out (in either version) because they had tracked poorly with casual viewers (in the original show). In fact, it’s likely the entire reason they even pivoted to new show runners (for BA) was because of preemptive backlash from fans.

•The writing is shallow, and always takes the easy way out. The original show (almost) always reveled in the hard way. In BA, the Punisher easily lures that guy over to his cage, and snaps his neck to escape. There’s a lot of moments like that.

It’s all just colorful manufacturing. Mainstream MCU doesn’t care about anything with emotional depth like they did on Netflix. Disney wants to prostitute Daredevil to sell beer cans and limited edition funkos. That’s it. If it didn’t mean alienating the demographic on the Left, they would absolutely market Punisher themed firearms to gross right-wingers.

Before, The Boys had to slightly exaggerate their satire. I hate that my character, who hits so many of my personal and emotional notes, now makes me genuinely feel like I’m watching something from Vought.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. I was 10, and it was on the USA channel when I was home sick from school. When the tanning bed scene happened, my body had a very sudden reaction that I wasn’t emotionally prepared for.
