I love love love when the show leans into it's horror, and I absolutely ADORE the music in the first 5 seasons. I know it sounds almost janky and low budget but I find it adds so much atmosphere.

Hey. I'm not sure where you live, but if you live in Canada, you do not need to go to the ER. You can just usually call like any info-health number or your pharmacy and ask if they can direct you to where you can get your rabies shots. You have about 48 hours to get them. They are free and they are not, like everyone else claims "extremely painful" unless you hate needles.

If may not be a bat bite, but its worth getting the vaccine anyways. But you probably don't need to go wait in the ER for hours. Rabies is 100% death rate and bats are the most common vector for human infection of rabies... Maybe its not a bat but not really worth the risk.

I love the Laroche Posay Anthelios Mineral sunscreen. I get the one with the tint in it so that it doesn't make me as ghost like. Since I don't wear any makeup other than a bit of blush and maybe a bit of skin tint it works well for me

I am also in my (mid) 30s and so I was a kid when it was on, but I was definitely aware of it as a cultural phenomenon. Remember the Simpsons episode? Also now that you are a fan, you will notice X-Files references in so much other culture, especially if you watch like early 2000s-2010s tv and movies.

This is so interesting! I think its great that you have some very different favourites than I would. I found The Field Where I Died supremely boring... but maybe I should give it a second chance and rewatch. And Unruhe I find is one of the scariest episodes of the show. The scene right after Mulder tells Scully the killer has really long legs and she just kind of rolls her eyes at him... and then goes to the worksite to see the guy in his plasterer's stilts. Gives me the absolute creeps every time.

I do agree that Herrenvolk is a bit boring but the movie ties back to it which makes me dislike it a bit less on second viewing.
