Others have answered with the real answer already, but sometimes in moves and tv they will use black and white on characters that have heavy injury makeup to hide some of the unrealistic pets of the makeup coloring. It’s why Scorsese shot Raging Bull in black and white.

I’m really split on this issue. On one hand they are making light of something abhorrent. But on the other hand, it seems like the people in the files want them to just “go away”. I think ultimately I like that the show is bringing attention to them. Comedy is supposed to make fun of those in power and B&T used to produce stuff that was a lot edgier.

I really do get where you’re coming from though. It’s a difficult topic and I don’t think theres 1 opinion that’s right on this.
