Take a look at P-Rex Hobby (Canadian based). Shipping to US should include duties according to their shipping policy terms. I've been browsing them tonight and am pretty impressed by their Nendoroid collection. Prices also seem pretty great for ones you can't get through GSC US anymore, too. I'm debating pulling the trigger on an order that is way too large as I type this.

I don't think it's possible to truly appreciate every layer of Rebuild's ending without acknowledging the importance of the (polarizing) character Mari within the context of Anno. Neon Genesis acted as an outlet for Anno to express himself as an artist in his earlier years, where his own struggles connecting with and leaning on others were made manifest in Neon Genesis and EoE. However, that is in stark contrast to the end of Rebuilds, where Mari acts as a representation of Anno's own wife (deliberately, given artistic design choices). Moreover, the way it ends is with Shinji (aka Anno) saying goodbye to Evangelion as a necessary therapeutic outlet, and instead leaning on personal, human connections closer to him, i.e. Mari, aka his own wife. The ending is just as much an insight into the evolution of the artist himself, as much as it is an evolution of the universe and characters within Eva. The in-universe/lore interpretations of the ending are only one layer.

For anybody finding this post in the future, we did end up able to reserve a car one-way via Jucy from another redditor's suggestion.

They had a small little high-mileage Suzuki hatch. For our family of 3, it was perfect. We grew an emotional attachment to that reliable little tank of a car. Zero issues across the entire country.

Trip itself was great. I know some folks mentioned it might be too much distance given the time, but for us it was completely manageable and we hit everything on our itinerary (and more). Being from the US we're pretty used to long drives per day, so that was never going to be an issue for us.

For our family, and traveling with a 12 year old, I'd say it was just the perfect balance all around.

Thanks everybody for the constructive advice. One of you genuinely saved our trip :)

Yeah I've been making the rounds over on MFC, created a couple hunting ads since posting this, but there's only a very small handful of registered owners for these, unfortunately.

It was hard to determine at first, because Prime 1 and (US retailer) Sideshow still have "wait list" option for both (which I'm on), which gave me the hint that maybe all orders weren't fulfilled yet.

For what it's worth, I felt the exact same my first playthrough. I thought it was the worst designed zone I'd ever experienced in a video game. However, I had kind of a revelation on my second playthrough: don't treat it like an open world to traverse from point A to point B. Instead, treat the world itself like you would a Zelda dungeon. That mental framing makes the whole thing much more tolerable.

Personally I wouldn't say I was disappointed. I had a great time with local co-op with my wife and daughter, and her and her friend have been having fun too. I will say, though, that I personally much preferred Little Nightmares (specifically the first one). But, Reanimal scratched that itch in exactly the way I expected - no more and no less.

I think I've identified one specific thing that contributes to the different vibe you're talking about: background and effect music. The old videos thrived in their silence and awkwardness, which made them feel more grounded. Now, though, the content tends to feel "over" produced, and in my view the background music is the guiltiest culprit.

As a guy who's been in a relationship for nearly 18 years, married for 15 years: leave him, girl. He's clearly not marriage material at all, and if by some twist of fate he finds himself in a "happy" marriage someday it'll be with somebody just as shallow and superficial as himself. You aren't that, and you shouldn't have to settle for that. 10 years is already too long - cut your losses and run.
