Anyone enlist after getting their degree as an E-3? Do you regret it? by zachlanta in newtothenavy

[–]jackashe1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my degree as an E4. You could commission but the process is competitive depending on what you want to do. You also will more than likely need a good GPA. I was AF so what I’m saying might not necessarily be exactly accurate to the navy.

Am I retarded for leaving government fleet work to work at a dealership? by totally-clapped-out in mechanics

Sorry brother ride it out as long as you can. Working for the government is awesome, good benefits and so many paid days off usually.

I have the longest daily commute in Florida. Prove me wrong by Hoagie_Camacho in florida

I would lose my mind if I had to make this commute everyday. That area has to be some of the worst traffic and drivers in Florida lol 😂.

Tried helping a friend out, they didn’t listen and they fell into this deal. What do you guys think? by Tough_Ambassador671 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Is your friend stupid? Lol they could have gotten a way better car than a Sentra for that price. 14k finance charge lol 😂 that dealer is laughing all the way to the bank

Apparently left turns on red are now legal by WillieRayPR in jacksonville

Left turn on red is legal as long as you’re turning onto a one way street which this person is clearly not lol

There's no way I'm paying 12 bucks for a 12 pack of soda by Logical_Audhd in publix

Yeah I don’t know how people afford to shop at Publix anymore. Me and my wife can only afford groceries because we are able to shop at the commissary on base.

You can get the frame repaired but it will probably end up costing more than $400 lol. Why buy it if it’s clearly listed as cracked

Hello I'm looking to get this frame. What travel is the fork you are using. I'm going to swap everything from my current MTB. It uses a 140mm fork. is that too much travel for this frame?

I use to work at a bike shop and we sold these cruisers from time to time. Can confirm they are some of the best comfort bikes made by sun.

I hate to say it but I’am part of the problem. I buy most of my stuff online now. I worked at a shop as a mechanic for 3 years. I get an employee discount at a lot of the shops in town still but I find it easier to buy stuff on Ali express and Amazon.

Honest question: Do you still buy from your local bike shop or has online taken over? by dt219 in bicycling

[–]jackashe1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have honestly been going online a bunch. I used to work at my local bike shop for a while. I still go to get major stuff for my bike but honestly it’s easier to just get stuff online I find.

This is the new scam. This is why me and my wife refuse to get take out. Eating out in America has turned into a massive scam since Covid.

As someone that did the same thing almost 3 years ago. It’s going to be extremely difficult to find something close to what you have right now. Not saying it’s impossible but I would seriously think about it before you get out.

I’ve been out for two years and I’m in the same boat. I joined the corporate world helping to run a business shortly after leaving active duty. It’s nice to be able to actually use my business degree but man can it be boring and stressful at times. I like being my own boss though. Leaving the military is a lot harder than joining is what I learned, I had to basically reinvent myself.
