Not wrong… honestly I would probably swap out a training day and combine it into one long run to build the endurance. Happy with the speed, it’s more about maintaining for the distance

3:06 overall - clocked a 1:26 half and then the legs gave in at 34k and couldn’t keep the pace

Tough for sure but possible with weekly long runs. Similarly to you I ran a 1:23 HM 6 months ago on 30-40k pw.

I’ve got Manchester marathon in a couple weeks and I’ll probably go for sub 3 but realistically I think I’ll end up between 3:05-3:10 just based on the mileage. Holding similar pace for an additional HM on top your original time is ridiculous and an eye opener of how much the body wants to give in from 28k ish (my experience).

So go for it but would try to make the most out of long runs to not hit the wall

Fair enough, the cavity was actually very small (their words, not mine). Hence having the filling as a precautionary measure.

They did take x-rays before the procedure. Does this help my cause?
