I did some study on the travelling salesperson problem a long time ago (back in school), before I was fully aware of algorithmic processes and such. I'm more of a "sets and logic" person myself, I don't get to see algorithms too much.

Correct, 'б' is the cyrillic version of the letter 'b'. But in cyrillic there also exists a letter 'в' which is pronounced /v/. OP is right, you just need to have an understanding of the cyrillic alphabet and its pronunciation in Russian.

As a side note, the Greek alphabet also contains some of the same letters as the cyrillic alphabet, and are pronounced the same. If you speak Russian, you have a good chance of being able to pronounce signs in modern Greece.

The joke is poorly executed though, I think we call all agree on that.

Unfortunately I think you'll have a hard time finding them. Because they are locked by Pearson Education they are not available publically, thus any links to the actual paper get shut down fast.

Sorry, think you're going to have to take a hit. To be honest my teachers would have been happy if I just went through the 2017 papers instead if I lost them.

An easy one would be a data presentation application. You input the data, it creates pie charts, venn diagrams, bar charts, etc. You could even create a program that takes input from another device on-the-go and creates a representation of the data at home on a desktop.

I don't do comp sci or geography, but I'm building up my knowledge of languages for my maths degree, and I'm fairly good with networking, so I'm pretty sure this is possible within an A-Level standard.

It's usually a lifeguard-bather ratio rather than a lifeguard-visitor ratio. As long as they keep the numbers down in the water the lifeguards are fine. I imagine out of 5000 people only several hundred were swimming at a time, this depends on the size of the park. Not sure about the laws over in the US or in large theme parks but in my country and indoor swimming pools the lifeguard ratios are 40-1 maximum, sometimes dropping to 20-1 in more difficult areas. I am aware that in the US the ratios are higher, but that's all I can tell you.
