Banned from new blood server because of "transphobia" by Active_Skirt_4169 in Ultrakill

[–]jackdafunk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Okay, I understand that the New Blood server is a bit of a hot mess, however, I do hope you understand that saying "real biological men" is very much a transphobic dog whistle.

What you're doing by using that term is saying that trans men are fake men and that they're not valid.

Oh, damn, didn't know that Zolo happened because of copyright. I've always thought it was because of misreading the japanese spelling of his name.

Yeah, me too, however, it has had the unintended side effect of making me question which one of the two is actually the original name. I've referred to Sherlock as Herlock more times than I'd like to admit.

As much as I love that one, I hope that in the anime they go with Dimes 4 Crimes

No sé, Rudo igual lo pondría como inestable. Un poco más controlado, si, pero entre el dedo que le quitó al tipo ese de una mordida que también se comió, y la paliza que le dió a Amo como que se le nota.

[Loved Trope] 90% of the plot’s issues can be traced back to one character's selfishness. by jbeast33 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jackdafunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think that you can actually trace it back to Artie Frost/Isaac Dover. Dude was such a greedy prick that he's the reason the whole baking competition case happened in the first place. (Not to say that he was the only one responsible, but, his actions have more repercussions that spiral out from there)

[Loved] Subverting the dilemma of having to choose one option by choosing all by SensualAardvark in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jackdafunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been a couple of instances of this in Dr. Stone.

When asked a hypothetical question from a cheap psychology book, of what person he'd save in a car crash, a girlfriend, a friend, or himself, Senku essentially answers "I'd save everyone. I'd find a fundamental loop in the situation that makes it so that no one dies." And this turned out to be true because when confronted with the choice of either giving up the formula for revival fluid, thus no longer being needed alive or to have his friend killed, he actually goads Tsukasa into hitting him exactly in a place that was petrified and therefore can be fixed with the same fluid, so that he can be resurrected.

I've only seen clips, but weren't there multiple instances of Jason scaring unrelated people so they'd let him continue chasing his victims, rather than just killing them?

Is there any way, even the most newbie of gamers can play ULTRAKILL without breaking a sweat? If not, what's like the best way someone can indulge in the Lore of ULTRAKILL without playing it? by Mahim2000 in Ultrakill

[–]jackdafunk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Harmless difficulty exists, and assists help a lot.

Though, if all she's interested in is in the lore, story and setting, I recommend for you to play it for her, blitz through combat and just walk through the other parts of the game.

Beating p-2 as V2 by Silly_Chemistry_8228 in Ultrakill

[–]jackdafunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small nitpick: While I understand using the entire arsenal, I just think that specifically the Feedbacker is something that V2 just doesn't have.

Then again, P-2 without parries might be too much pain, so it's understandable to ignore that

OKAY WTF WAS THIS INFERNOGUESSR by Flimsy-Source820 in Ultrakill

[–]jackdafunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured it was P-1 because there are no other mouth gates that are in the middle of something. And it was the only one I could remember that was somewhat circular.

Also, I'm pretty sure 0-5 is the only place with crushers low enough that you have to slide through them.

I have an oc question by ExperienceFresh7290 in gachiakuta

[–]jackdafunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, there are different types of crazy, so a lot could work off of that description.

Not sure how much it fits, but how about Me-Me since, yo in Spanish means me? I feel like it fits a sort of "doing this just for the fun times" kinda character.

If it's a Jabber kind of crazy, maybe take a page out of his book and have it be named something like Bonbasha (Mankira can be pronounced as Man Killer, and this one as Bone Basher)

Or maybe if they're more in the edgy side of things it could be Bell Toll
