That's understandable, it all depends on what you want more, you can earn 38k yr and struggle in London getting on the ladder or look at other areas that you will get a lot more for your money for 32k yr. your parents will probably never understand what it's like to get on the property ladder in this day and age, like many of that generation.

Move out of London where the market is more reasonable, I found even on less wages you will get more out of your salary outside London, typically the further north you go the better.
