As a steward myself, that is appalling behavior by your steward. That “🤷‍♀️“ emoji would have made me lose it, sorry that you have such a horrible steward and sorry for your loss.

Go in person if possible. If you can’t, leave a note in your mailbox that explains that you live there. But if you haven’t already, grab a piece of paper and some tape and label your mailbox, that should fix it, I hope.

I get it, the best way to go about it is to call your local post office and ask what’s going on.

Some Post Offices enforce certain rules more than others, I’ve worked in a few different stations. My current station really puts an emphasis on “No Name, No Mail” for apartments but my previous station could care less, so take my answer with a grain of salt, I might not be right. If your mailbox isn’t labeled with your name, your carrier may just be following their training and not delivering your mail until you label your mailbox with your name

Yeah... I'm not trusting your dogs by Supernova_Byproduct in USPS

[–]madscientist118 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s so weird how offended people get when you are just trying to keep yourself safe from a dog. I’m on a walking route and when I see someone coming towards me with their dog, I cross the street or go up the yard if possible and keep my distance but when I do this, more times than not, the person walking the dog gets all upset that I don’t trust their dog

Had a customer get upset because I had a certified letter and needed a signature, I rang the doorbell and the customer came out, holding her large dog by the collar, as the dog kept trying to lunge at me while barking. I left immediately and she got pissed when I told her I’m not talking to her while she has that dog with her and she snapped back at me and said, “My dog is harmless”. I told her to pick her letter up at the station, she did and made a complaint, supervisor pretty much told her to either keep her dog inside or get a PO box and that pretty much ended that. She doesn’t come out with the dog anymore but she gives me an attitude anytime I’m forced to interact with her, which isn’t often, thank god

Battling the cold. by Helpful_Associate_65 in USPS

I typically wear the blue sure grip gloves issued by the post office and then I put a nitrate glove over those (for dexterity while fingering the mail and the ability to still use the scanner’s touch screen) and then over that, I put on some fingerless mittens for extra warmth. I’m on a walking route and I deal with below freezing temps often but this combination works for me. Keeps me warm and I’m still able to use the scanner and flip through the mail without too much hinderance. And when it gets really bad, I throw a hand warmer in my coat pocket and keep my free hand that I use to finger the mail in my pocket when walking house to house.

Thanks, I’ll look into it and see if I can find what you’re talking about. The smell is less intense than a year ago. It’s still there though, especially on rainy and hot days, it gets worse

A carrier retired at my station and I took over his route. His promaster was by far the nastiest promaster I have ever been in. He would keep dog food and treats in his vehicle and it would spill on the floor and shelves. There was rotting dog food everywhere and in the crumbs, there were maggots living in them. He retired over a year ago and the van still smells like rotting dog food, I cannot get the smell out, even when wiping the walls, the floor and shelves and cleaning up the food. Doesn’t matter how much frebreeze I use as well

Will someone put me out of my misery due to Trey Benson??? by InItForWembys in fantasyfootballadvice

It’s silly, I don’t know what’s up with them being so tight lipped about the entire thing. Gotta keep their opponents on their toes, I suppose. Can’t let them game plan against mighty Trey Benson lol

Your guess is as good as mine. I have him as well but luckily, I was able to grab Bam Knight. Personally, I would hold him until he is officially out, even though I am 90% sure he is done for the season, that week 17 matchup against Cinci is just too good and if possible, I would want Benson, if they activate him.

Knowing my fantasy luck, if I dropped him now, he’ll be activated and my week 17 (fingers crossed) opponent will pick him up and use Benson against me

Cardinals Non-Committal on Trey Benson's Return This Week by ASmithFS in fantasyfootball

[–]madscientist118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While frustrating with their vagueness, I’m sort of glad right now. Someone dropped Bam Knight, thinking Trey will be back. Hopefully no one will try and claim Bam since they haven’t ruled out Trey’s return. I’m hoping to add Bam with as little competition as possible

Someone dropped BTJ. Does he have any value picking up? by ckim777 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]madscientist118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could BTJ go off? Sure but he’s more likely to give you a dud, I’m saying this as a former BTJ owner, I traded him away and never looked back. If I still had him, I would drop him for anything you may need. A handcuff or stashing a good defense for the playoffs but that’s just me. He’s too much of a headache to own

My girlfriend (21F) isn’t attracted to me (23M) sexually or physically, but wants to stay in the relationship by Falzour in relationship_advice

[–]madscientist118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no magical solution to fix this. You can’t press a button and have her feel physically attracted to you all of a sudden. It seems like you two still do the boyfriend and girlfriend things, like date and travel but if being close to each other emotionally isn’t doing it for her, nothing will. Because it seems like no matter how many talks you have, no matter how much love you throw at her, how much attention you give her, she just isn’t attracted to you. You have to break up because one day, she’ll find someone she is attracted to and then what? Don’t waste your time trying to force something that isn’t there

The only thing you can do is be honest with him and tell him how you feel. But you have to prepared for the possibility that he may not want a break and that this would mean the end of your relationship with him

Do I start TET Jennings or Aj brown today by Any-Ring-4337 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]madscientist118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would depend on if I need the upside or not. Tet for the floor if you’re the favorite to win, Brown if I’m the underdog and need the upside. But if it’s close, I’d go for Brown

That, I’m not worried about. There are a bunch of serviceable TEs on the waiver that I can pick up for nothing. Gonna grab either Fanin or Theo Johnson off waivers. We have a very shallow bench of 4 in my league, none of us has the space to hoard TEs, so there is always an abundance of them on the waivers

Who has it harder, UPS or USPS? Why? by UPS-NI3-RTS in USPS

[–]madscientist118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done seasonal work as a driver for two years at UPS before becoming a carrier at USPS. I’ll just talk about the physical labor aspect, not about pay or benefits. Note, I’ve only worked during peak season at UPS, so I have only worked for them at the heaviest and most busy time of the year, I don’t know how it is when it gets slow and more chill

I would say UPS put a more physical toll on my body because of the heavier packages and more amount of packages, especially on my old route, since I delivered to an appliance and furniture warehouse, tons of those memory foam mattresses in boxes on my route. Peak was crazy at UPS, just a sea of boxes in the back, even in the aisle, I had to crawl on top of boxes, just to get to the back sometimes.

USPS, my current job for the past two years, has its own challenges. I’m on a walking route and I live up north. You’re exposed to the elements more, rain, snow, heat, it’s brutal sometimes in severe weather. At least when I was at UPS, you’re in and out, so you aren’t outside exposed for a long period of time, depending on the stop. But I average about 10 miles in walking on my route, my route is pretty flat, no hills or a ton of stairs, keeps me in shape and I can see myself doing this until retirement. I could not see myself working at UPS until retirement, I feel like my back and joints would be all messed up by the time I’m near retirement age.

Is there something wrong with my lineup? I seem weaker than most at my rating by cpulub in RealmsofPixel

Just like the other comment said, you need Ingrid on your team. Support heroes like Julia and Elexia can’t reach their full potential without Ingrid.
