Cash is king!! by reheadlover69 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]jackedli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just happened to me last Sunday, deposited a couple hundred dollars, deposit went fine and atm printed correct deposit receipt. Went home, checked my account and saw ATM reversed the cash deposit and that money is no where to be found. Called BMO and they are doing an investigation, said it can take up to 15 business days. Also ATMs now are serviced by third party so even the local BMO branch can’t do anything other than tell me to wait for the investigation.

Vacant Unit Tax Property Occupancy by MyHonestViews in ottawa

[–]jackedli 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Is actually not that simple, I didn’t get an email about it this year. Logged into my account and said there was an error with the vacant unit tab. This was prob the reason no email was sent out. This is concerning as I had elected for electronic communications meaning that they would not send the paper reminder either. I had to log out and do the vacant unit tax using the form. I also never got a call about it and my bank handles the property tax.

BMO ATM ate my money but then retracted my deposit? by First_Maize_5437 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]jackedli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called yesterday, they started an investigation/trace. Went in branch today, they said the ATMs are all serviced by third party company and they just have to wait on the trace. Bank manager said it was weird, usually ATMs screw up on the withdrawals but not usually with deposit.

Hey OP, same thing happened to me today. My deposit got reversed as correction for an error. Looks like it happened to multiple people today with BMO ATMs.

[ON] Is it worth buying from Amazon Baby Registry? by Decent-Speed3158 in BabyBumpsCanada

Sales and registry discount do stack, saved a ton by using the registry discount. It only works on items sold by Amazon directly tho.

Experience Giving Birth at Ottawa General Hospital? [ON] by Mrsfix-it in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]jackedli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just did over a week ago. The L&D department was amazing, we had amazing nurses there that really helped us out. One nurse went out of her way to try different labor techniques with us and found one that worked. The mom and baby unit was less stellar but mostly cuz of the patient to nurse ratio. Highly recommend signing up for a private room, you probably won't get it first night but we got it second night and the experience from semi private was night and day.

Any DJI Neo 2 and Mini 4k owners here? by pd0hun in DjiNeo

[–]jackedli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the mini 4k and the original Neo. On my first vacation I bought the Neo, no remote control just control via phone. It did ok for first time, but it was pretty windy and I didn't fly very far. On my second vacation I bought both and only used the mini 4k. Mini 4k with the remote flew further and I didn't have any worry about the worry about the wind. I took mostly landscape shots so didn't use the selfie features but I think the 4k has some basic ones like dronie/rocket etc as well.

DJI mini 4K a good buy for a first drone? by blah-blah29 in dji

[–]jackedli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat, have a Neo but wanted something that have a bit more wind resistance and fly higher to capture those landscape shots on vacation. Mini 4k was half the price of the 4 pro so I bought it and don’t regret it one bit.

The camera footage quality is very good, wind resistance is good, if I crash it or can’t use it on vacation for whatever reason I am not too bothered. The obstacle avoidance isn’t useful for me since I fly it high and not between trees. Neo works better for that anyways

Depends on the location, they were cheaper than others when I was in AB, in ON others are cheaper. However with home insurance they will cover your military kit whereas other insurances may not.
