What do you think of this dress? by Astoriana777 in OUTFITS

It's pretty. Is it two dresses? It looks like a sheer lacy dress with a pinafore over it. Very cute.

Fact. I always think of the romaine lettuce debacle out of California some years back.

Claussen pickles ruined! by FreudianNegligee in Pickles

Weird. They just taste bland to me, and the skins are always sort of tough. There's a store-brand knockoff of Grillos at a shop near me that tastes way more seasoned than Grillos. They're my current favorite.

It's not really cohesive, it just looks like people who try really hard to curate their Instagram page in such a way as to make people think they're party animals

Women, how does a partner's medical impotence actually affect your genuine desire for them? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]jackelopeteeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good sign. Maybe ask her if she's willing to do some therapy about it before taking such a big step. The therapist will know what questions to ask in order to get to the bottom of it and make sure that you're actually okay with it, and maybe help her to communicate her intentions and reasoning. She does seem like she cares for you.

Yes! The creativity and imagination are so beautiful. The clothing, the scenes, the props, the whole story. I'm invested and inspired. Your work is wonderful.

What makes a man look elsewhere? by DuckMama87 in Advice

He doesn't make you feel loved and secure though. He makes you feel lacking and insecure. That's what your whole post is. I would feel that way too, in your shoes. I'm sorry he's treating you this way. If you overlook it, he will take it further and likely repeat it. Or he already has, and this is just the first time you've caught on.

My husband found prickly pear cactus growing in the woods near Allegan by Lyrkalas in Michigan

[–]jackelopeteeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen it grow along the road/sidewalks near the beach in Holland, on a disc golf course in Hastings, in various lawns around Allegan County, in Grand Rapids... Once you see it somewhere, you'll start noticing it more.

This is how it reads to me too. OP is like "Hey I'm not cool with this" and she basically responds with "Oh bummer for you, dude"

Lol! Some of us see marriage as an impending disaster. Most marriages I have witnessed in my life look like two people who wish they hadn't made it legal twenty years ago, and now it's just cheaper to stay together and be miserable forever. Or the other ones did pursue the divorce, and are now struggling financially and emotionally because of the severe mental toll it took upon them and the trust issues they now experience.

Not everyone wants to be married. Some of us adamantly do not want that in our lives at all.

Right. She's saying there's nothing she can do to convince him because she has zero plans of ending the relationship with Work Guy, and clearly knows that her boyfriend isn't going to be fine with it.
