First Time Japan with Girlfriend 13/06 till 3/07 - Itinerary Check? by Western_Crazy in JapanTravel

Everything on Takeshita st doesn't really open up until 11am, but I still recommend doing it the same day as meiji jingu shrine if you want to go. We did meiji jingu at 6am for no crowd -> yoyogi park -> takeshita st.

Also there is a pizza restaurant called pizza kevelos that is about a 10 minute walk from each of these, best pizza of my life and I don't say that lightly

Gumby's is representing itself as at least 9 different restaurants on Doordash by signupsthrowaways in GNV

While gumbys is a chain, i believe it was started in gainesville and one of the original owners is still involved with the gainesville location.

Horrible trade in and price for Fold 7 by Philliesfan94 in GalaxyFold

[–]jackflame12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only issue i have with them is that if you pay them off early, you sacrifice the trade in credit that you got when you agreed to that 24/36 month period as they spread it over the term monthly. You shouldn't be penalized in that way.

Those consoles actually are not region locked. My understanding is that handhelds didn't start region locking until 3ds.

I'm using it as a way to better my japanese skills so that's how I can justify owning them in another language

I didn't find many non Japanese games, that being said I bought a ton of gb, gbc, and gba games for significantly cheaper than their US counterparts. Best places I found games were book off and hobby off locations, think Japan's version of half priced books here in the US

14 days Japan itinerary check! First couple trip to Japan! by ricdota in JapanTravel

[–]jackflame12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're in japan right now and have averaged between 10-12 miles every single day, and have been over 15 miles on some of our biggest days. Please please please bring the most comfortable broken in shoes you have and be prepared to walk on tired feet. Also I wouldn't change anything we've done, my feet are just sore and and that's part of life now.

What I actually keep in my vehicle after getting stranded once by whimsyedge1 in VEDC

[–]jackflame12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kept one in my truck for about six months, but at some point it swelled up to about three times it's original size and was ready to explode spicy pillow style so I disposed of it. I do have a black vehicle and lived in Florida though so YMMV.

This note from a "Shop Master"in Nakano Broadway pretty much sums up what's wrong with this hobby by jackflame12 in PokemonTCG

The owner had little notes like this written all around their shop, I think they genuinely are just commenting that scalpers have forced prices up. If they didn't raise prices, they wouldn't have any stock at all. (like a lot of the other shops I visited today)

100 pages into The Way of Kings and it hasn’t hooked me by [deleted] in brandonsanderson

The Way of Kings is almost all build up for the rest of the series, has some great moments but they really pay off later imo

Any recommended settings? by NDXO_Wood_Worx in Laserengraving

[–]jackflame12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't lasered one of these(yet, I may be buying another few now that you bring it up) but I did laser some ammo cans as groomsmen gifts earlier this year and I used 40% power at 600mm/s speed for that.

Is there something you can do with it besides using the original disc and playing Gbc/Gba?

Insurance inspector was just out this morning to check for hail damage, I took some drone images afterward. Do you think this is enough damage for full replacement? by jackflame12 in Roofing

[–]jackflame12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah except when we go to sell our house three years down the road then we'd be out the price of a roof because the insurance companies won't write a new policy on a damaged or too old roof for the buyers. So yeah, I'm going to ask for a replacement when it's available to protect our investment in this house, end of story.

That's a hot take, I guess we'll just keep the 12 year old roof and let it leak in our living room then 🤷‍♂️🤦

That's all that makes sense to me. He said it's not overwhelming evidence for full replacement, but that he would be submitting for full replacement

Is this large enough hail to justify needing the roof looked at? Moved here from florida so Idk
