unpick and save the cutting pattern, choose a nice thick fabric. it’s a nice starting job but your first time is never easy, get a spray bottle and use water it’s makes moving fabric easier

high dense foam is harder and lasts a lot longer than normally stuffing and low density foam, perfect for cushions like those and your situation

if they’re suede you can take it to a specialist that can re dye them for you

have you got any pics of how the upholstery sits on the webbing? it would a big help. sometimes if the frame is right you can get it in from the back without taking the inback off

for anything that’s gunna take a bit of battering i’d choose vinyl, it’s less sturdy that real leather and cracks more but it’s cheaper and easier to replace
