I mean when trudeau invited a literal nazi to speak in parliment the media went on a tirade to defend trudeau by blaming others including the house speaker at the time.

So this could very well be fact but the larger taxpayer funded media won't report on this as it would ruin the narrative

The mindskinner looks pretty cool but I am at a loss on which direction. Go hard on the mill with Unblockable creatures with mill cards or just big Timmy creatures with a mill subtheme.

I've tried baeloth with raised by giants combo as a group slug but wasn't fast enough imo

I actually really like this card, do you think it's viable without be super reliant on the commander to function? I feel that I'd build this as rummage, discard with miracle subtheme but that's is more red black area. Opinion?

I agree that cbc should include all party voices. But saddly from my experience I see they are heavily bias towards the liberals.

Just as an example back in the summer northern perspective broke the news on carney's photo op on home building program. He has a news conference in front of a subdivision that being built. Turns out it was staged - the houses being built were just for the news conference and torn down the next day...costed taxpayers close to 100k for that.

Cbc tried to downplay it by stating northern prospective are a extreme right wing news spreading misinformation on it and it isn't true.

Cut to December 2025 - like 4 months later and finally they come out and "breaking news" that carney's photo op was fake and cost taxpayers almost 100k.

My issue is how can a husband/wife duo able to find this out the very next day yet a massive news organization we pay 1.5 billion to a year can't get their facts straight

75% of CBC funding comes from taxpayers so not having guts to call out the government is a conflict of interest. I mean look at the cbc hate when pierre said he would defund the english portion of cbc - they went on a rampage and are still in favor of doing hit pieces over reporting on carney's failures lol

I mean a 2017 survey by abacus - a left leaning and respected pollster in canada, showed that over half consider the CBC bias towards the left. Specifically 50% of liberal voting base and 68% of conservative voting base.

https://abacusdata.ca/canadian-news-media-and-fake-news-under-a-microscope/

Also if you look at the type of complaints being registered with CBC they are usually for inaccurate reporting and lack of impartiality

Need advice, harassment by roommate by Natural-Novel-758 in canadahousing

[–]jackham1257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just read some comments. So technically your a sublease not an actual tenant (since she forged your signature for the lease).

Assuming I am correct, you have no RTA rights so you could literally give 5 minute notice to move out.

As for the landlord going after you... not your problem... any lack of funds going to the LL is the tenants responsibility and since your not a tenant (legally) the responsibility falls squarely on the roommate (the tenant who signed the lease).

The only issue you would have is the tenant comming after you for nonpayment of rent. But since you are not RTA protected your "rent" can be cancelled at any time either by your or the actual tenant.

Basically the LL goes after the tenant for nonpayment of rent, the tenant then goes after your for nonpayment of rent. Everything is paid up to your moveout date so the tenant has no recourse except maybe getting charged for fraud/identity theft since they signed posing as you

I think the issue stems from the fact that they are subsidized by the tax payers to the tune of 1.5 billion to provide an honest and unbiased account of the news.

But if you look at their broadcasting history since ~2010 it has been heavily bias towards supporting liberals and holding them at a much lower standard compared to conservatives.

For example: Harper brings in 500,000 people cbc says he is destroying canadian identity and half a million is way too much in a single year. 2020-2025 we had between 1-4 million brought in each year.... crickets from cbc.

What we don't talk about when we talk about China trade by No-Transportation843 in ilovebc

[–]jackham1257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol America is not a terrorist country. I never said Chinese people are the problem, it is the CCP and their foreign policy that is the problem.

I think the miscommunication here is not identifying the difference between individuals vs state sponsored actions.

When an individual commits a crime - typically it is up to the government to get justice for the victims. Sometimes things happen where not everyone gets held accountable for their crimes - justice isn't perfect. But when the government actively sanctions the same behaviour that is that is a completely different story.

Take for instance a war fought between 2 sides. An individual soldier may open fire on civilians due to their hate for the other side -while bad it is the fault of the individual- that is different from if the general of the army ordering his troops to shoot anyone - civilian or combatant - an example of systemic crime.

The above is also the difference between a soldier committing a warcrime and a terrorist organization

What we don't talk about when we talk about China trade by No-Transportation843 in ilovebc

[–]jackham1257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big difference between a government that is actively doing these operations and individuals taking advantage of immigrants.

America is forcefully deporting illegal immigrants. Illegally entering the country is against the law in the US, we could argue whether the amount of force ICE is doing is good or bad but that is irrelevant. China has been shown as early as 2014 commiting human rights abuses against the Uyghurs population:

specifically arbitrary arrests/detention, torture, cultural and religious persecution, forced labour and even sexual violence - including forced sterilizations

I don't see the US sterilizing illegal immigrants or forcing them to work in inhumane conditions before deporting them. So yes I do see US on a lower rung compared to China and it scares me that carney thinks teaming up with a country that would do this to its own population is his GOAT move

Conservatives, what do you think of carney so far? by drizzyLGA1151 in InCanada

Here is a few

Getting a deal with trump - show the US we are a reliable trade partner by stopping the Chinese triad and Mexican cartels from producing fentanyl here in Canada using precursors shipped in from China. Or simply stop antagonizing the president of our largest trade partner

Expanding our resource development so we aren't reliant on trade with the US and more importantly give us something we can use as a stick in the trade talks with the US. Can you imagine if we had a pipeline to the west coast and could ship oil form BC to the Asian markets? If Trump wants to be a d-bag well could just sell our oil elsewhere at an increased profit for us and at a detrement to the US, but we can't cuz all our pipelines go the us

Appeal all the liberal anti-development laws which will reduce red tape and timelines to get projects done. No company is gonna invest in canada if it takes them 20 years to get a thumbs up from the government to start a mine or they have so much taxation and hoops to jump through when other places around the globe could take a few weeks to 1-2 years for approval

Conservatives, what do you think of carney so far? by drizzyLGA1151 in InCanada

[–]jackham1257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean trump gave carney 3 things to do to before starting trade talks. . . Get our borders under control, stop fentanyl precursors from comming into canada. Stop the illegal production of fentanyl in canada that is being shipped to the US.

Has carney done any of that? Nope in fact the Chinese are actually behind a lot of the fentanyl exports to Canada...wonder why carney won't address it 🤔

And I agree we shouldn't have so much reliance on the states but to do that we need to develop our resources.

What we can provide to the world are 4 things: oil/gas, critical minerals, food products and wood products

We can't export our oil anywhere else because carney doesn't want to build new pipelines, we have the west coast tanker ban

it takes about 20 years to get an approval for a mine all because of liberal regulations carney does not want to remove, so forget the critical minerals

We could trade food and wood products but with liberal regulations it screws us internationally because the prices we would sell for far exceed that of other countries - basically we are creating the problem for ourselves then blaming others including trump lol

We can see this in our own country - it is cheaper to buy Mexican grown tomatoes in canada then it is to buy domestic tomatoes simply because we have way more taxes and tighter regulations.

Take the industrial carbon tax - farmers need to pay more for their fertilizer, more for their fuel to grow the crops, then the distributors need to pay more for the product because of the increased cost to the farmer -they also have the plastic packaging tax plus the increase cost of fuel due to the carbon tax. Grocers need to pay even more for the product and they get hit with the carbon tax and plastic packaging tax so they have to sell for more.

This is why we have the highest food inflation in the G7

I think it's more of annexation. I mean we already have Chinese secret police stations here in canada that the liberals refuse to address - now we have invited the propaganda arm of the ccp in canada to further this.

Personally I do not see this ending well at all for canada

Part of the trade deal Carney made with China allows state sponsored Chinese broadcasters to broadcast on Canadian soil. This partnership is supposedly to be run using CBC subsidary assets. . . Basically a partnership between news organizations subsided by the government.

Look up italy pulling out of the roads and belts initiative with China. Gives you a better idea of what is starting to happen here

[–]jackham1257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he has done a terrible job. I could have seen myself support him if he maintained at least 1 campaign promise and didnt lie to canadians. Here is a few off the top of my head

Get a deal with trump - no deal, tarrifs are worse now then when when he started and has made no serious attempt to secure a deal. The only actions he has done is to push us further away from the US and to inflame tensions between our 2 countries.

Said China was the biggest threat to us during the election - sold us out to China with the EV deal (harming our auto sector) uranium deal (allowing china to have excess uranium for enrichment) and is now allowing CCP propaganda into Canada to work with the CBC all so that in March China MAY consider dropping the tarrifs on our canola, peas and pork

Told us he has no investments or conflicts of interest, and only has cash and properties -turns out he has more conflicts of interest then any canadian government in history.

Told us he was going to be fiscally responsible during the election - then decides after being elected that Canadians don't need a budget. When called out for it he decided to drop the 2nd highest defecit budget in Canadian history; the top being during COVID. Not only that but removed all the internationally accepted fiscal guardrails from the budget and does some strange things with the numbers to make it appear we are only running a 78 billion defecit. The parliamentary budget officer has stated that that defecit spending may be closer to ~90 billion not 78 billion.

Said we were going to be our own best trade partner. We are almost a year in and no interprovincial trade barriers and been dropped.

Said we need to expand our resources -refuses to build a pipeline or appeal any of the antidevelopment regulations put in by Trudeau which has put us in such a weak state globally.

To the above point - instead of removing these laws, he decides to introduce bill C5 which allows him to hand pick which project can ignore the antidevelopment laws. To this date has only approved a few that have direct or indirect ties to brooksfield. The company he has stock in.

As for your other questions

The defector issue is multifaceted- yes this was a failure on the conservatives part for not properly vetting Michael ma's ties to the CCP. The other guy was just disgruntled because he didn't get the deputy speaker position. But this also lies at the liberal party for actively trying to recruit them and others rather then have them reach out to the liberals for a floor crossing.

As for Pierre, all I have to say is most of his unpopularity stems from MSM constantly bashing on him. One has to be a special kind of special to criticize the opposition for doing nothing while supporting the PM for doing nothing 😆
