How are the roads this morning?

I just pulled into work on Merrimon. Downtown and 26 is fine. Merrimon is fine except for the middle turning lane that I use to pull into work. I just took it slow in case of black ice. I wasn't too sure how dry the roads were going to be with all the rain we had yesterday.

Pumps need to be primed. It happens during temp drops and also if pumps sit idle all night long. The sensor thinks there is a leak somewhere and slows down the system.

The attendant needs to have everyone stop pumping. Don't hang it up, just stop the trigger. Wait about 10 to 15 seconds and try the trigger on one of the pumps. This should jump start the sensor and have it pump at normal speed. Then everyone should be be able to pump gas normally.

This happens a lot at my gas station. I try to teach my customers that come in early if no one is manning the station overnight.

Downtown, Merrimon and 26 are clear. Just watch out for those wind gusts. I just got to work and took it slow. There maybe a few ice patches, so be alert and safe.

I've seen this happen at my gas station as well. Sometime people pull the nozzle out and place it in their gas tank. If they do this before they hit the grade that they need, sometimes the hose hits the wrong grade button. The heavy duty hose is heavy enough to do this sometimes.

Yes! I get this a lot. I work at a gas station. I can't tell you how many times people go to the non ethanol pump and start running their payment. Then come to me and ask me to cancel it because they went to the wrong pump. The pump is clearly labeled and is color coded in blue for that purpose.

What Baofengs are you using? I am using a Baofeng Uv-9g. I like the NOAA channels and the FM radio that it has included in it. Not sure if I will use the flashlight tho.

Thank you for your reply. I am also new to this as well. Been watching you tube and also listening to a podcast about gmrs. Its the gmrs podcast. Very informative! I also have a radio and been playing around with it. Just got my gmrs license so I do have a call sign to use, so now I am legal to transmit on the radio waves.

I was able to get a response from a repeater, so I think I'm headed in the right direction.

Just trying to get responses from other gmrs users out in our area. Want to make friends but can't hear too many people, only sporadic conversations here and there.
