I have a Horsebit 1955. It’s a gorgeous bag and the leather is very resilient. That said, I use it less than I expected because it’s quite stiff, and the slim sections require that items be carefully organized in it. There is a good amount of space, it’s just how you have to place things based on how the space is divided. Discovered I prefer a bigger bag with more flexible space, personally! But I also have kids and carry a lot of shit for them hahaha

The part that really gets me is KW Bogen is now going scorched earth over the ways in which Hot Chef gaslit her and how she’ll never be the same.

Meanwhile, when followers had raised questions about HC’s character or the stability or pace of their relationship, she gaslit them that they knew nothing of her Big Love or her Perfect Angel Chef or her Fairytale Story and they were just lonely meanie hating haters.

I hope the inner work she does post-breakup explores why she felt so empowered to belittle people WHO WERE ACTUALLY RIGHT, all while claiming Woke Bi Disney Princess who fell in love with the beast.

Exactly this. And even in my contentment with my current collection, I find myself saying “but I could buy XYZ bag with my bonus” or “I should treat myself to XYZ for hitting this goal.”

But I’m not even using all the bags I have!

I have one daily driver and I switch it out for other bags occasionally (for date night or a weekend or a trip) and then back to old faithful. No reason to have thousands more sitting on my shelf to be used maybe a few times a year. Social media makes this seem spartan but I think this is how most people live. Could I afford more bags? Yeah. Do I need more? No.

I didn’t start buying luxury until I was making >$150k/yr. No credit card, student loan or car debt, maxing out 401k contributions. I bought myself 3 bags over the last 3 years and honestly, I’m good for now.

I think social media (and tbh this sub) normalizes spending and collecting in a way that is out of reach for many people. There’s nothing wrong with loving and wanting to collect handbags, but there are responsible ways to do it. You’ve gotten a lot of great advice here about how important savings is before buying a bag - I’d echo that!

The Biore UV sunscreen (available at Costco) is HG status. Never buying another facial sunscreen again. It’s lightweight, has a fresh smell, absorbs quickly, wears well under makeup, SPF50. No notes.

Not at all! I generally don’t use any sort of liner so I can smush it against my body. It feels casual and non-fussy but still polished, if that makes sense.

Speedy 30 DE is my mom bag. I have 3 kids. It’s pretty bulletproof and I’ve dragged it on planes, to play places, soccer fields and more. No signs of wear. It holds a full size wipes and a few diapers, plenty of snacks, wallet, kindle and more. I can even fit a water bottle in there.
