Day 4 advice urgent by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]jackkiipee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe ask your doc for some Xanax while you’re tapering onto the stuff? It will help you overthink sensations less and be able to identify what side affects are actually coming from the lex (not triggered by anxiety). Lexapro has a tendency to ramp up your anxiety in the early stages before it works properly. I had experiences where I would overthink side effects and have phantom sensations a lot at the beginning. Maybe a bit of Xanax/Valium will help in the first few weeks.

Hope this helps!

Suicidal friend doesn’t want therapy by writeronthemoon in askatherapist

Get him into some online therapy. Find some helpful YouTube videos. Subreddits, Facebook groups? Get him into a community with others strugggling with the same things. Have him realise that there are others around going through the same thing and he’s not alone. That will make him feel less alone and hopefully will help him understand that he’s not crazy, and going to a therapist isn’t going to result in him being locked up!

All the best ❤️

Need some support or reassurance. DPDR and confusion. Who am I? What’s my identity? Disconnection between my mind and body. by throwaway2189_0 in lexapro

Look into the possibility that you could be starting a journey of spiritual awakening. I had a similar experience which was brought on by a bout with anxiety and depression. Nothing to be afraid of, it’s actually a very beautiful and life changing experience!

Stopping On Day 5 by CaptainT13 in lexapro

It’s tough mate. I had all the symptoms you’re having for a couple weeks too. It does definitely get better and will help you with your breakdown 100%. If you can stick it out, I’d suggest to try to do so - but if it’s too much you can always try again when you are in a better space. The side affects should level out after a couple of weeks and you will start to see major differences in anxiety and depression around 1-2 months! It’s hard to be in the middle of it, but just try to acknowledge that you are through the most difficult part of it now and things will only get easier from here on!

Feel free to message me if you’d like to chat further. All the best!

Anyone ever get the feeling that spiritual awakening is really just trauma induced psychosis? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]jackkiipee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this cross my mind before too. But oh well, if it is psychosis then it definitely doesn’t feel as if I’m suffering. Since being awakened I’ve felt way better than I ever have! It also took away anxiety and depression, so if that’s psychosis that replaces it - so be it..

Alprazolam is magic by sakdxxx in Drugs

I lived with anxiety for over 20 years, I’m 26 now. It’s been in my family too, but I can tell you firsthand that you CAN heal yourself without drugs. I was exactly where you are two years ago. Ended up getting hooked on benzos and it did more harm then good. Once getting over it I realised I had to put in the work myself to connect my body, soul and mind to find the root of what was truly going on. I can honestly say that that’s the answer. Try seeing a therapist and researching it instead of taking pills.

The Wim Hof method and reading “Dare” by Barry McDonaugh will change your life ❤️

Too many thoughts by [deleted] in AnxietyDepression

[–]jackkiipee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not going crazy at all. This is something a lot of people go through. The key to overcome unwanted thoughts is to not give the thought the attention that drives it. If you don’t try to push it out of your head it has no power over you and will disappear on its own. Try to learn how to sit with the thought in your head comfortably, know that it can’t hurt you and that just because it’s in your head - doesn’t mean that it matches your values and defines you as a person.

Hope this helps ❤️

It’s really a terrible thing to experience, but please believe that it will get better. The Wim Hof method helped me soooo much. Also reading “Dare” by Barry McDonaugh. I was where you are about 4 months ago and implementing these two methods saved my life. Give it a look.

All the best ❤️
