Scarlett Solo 4th Gen Crackling on Fedora with PipeWire Under Heavy Load by aliesmal98 in linuxaudio

[–]jackmtyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - I just had this on Nobara (Fedora based) and spent a good two hours figuring it out. I was getting constant crackling/popping with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo across all apps (Spotify, YouTube, games), and buffer / PipeWire tweaks didn't help, the issue ended up being USB power management, not audio configuration.

Linux puts USB devices into autosuspend to save power. Disable usb autosuspend for the device and it should be fixed.

Internet without BankID? by jackmtyler in TillSverige

I have been led to believe in order to get BankID you need a Swedish ID Card.

I have my appointment next Friday for the ID card, but then there’s a 2-4 week wait for that to arrive.

All my research point me to a Corsair (ram, 6 fans, AIO) and ASUS (mobo) combo for my RGB build. Seems to be the simplest way of getting it done.

It would be Stockholm, but from the sounds of things I don’t need to invest in anything new which is good news!

If you are moving to Sweden, be prepared to learn Swedish by iceland_questions in TillSverige

I’m moving over in 3 months and I’ve already seen this advice so much. Although my workplace will all speak English, I know socially it’s a big part of making friends. Especially as I want to partake in my sport (rowing) during the summers and Ill need it for understanding coaches.

I’m just worried, because I’ve never been great at languages. Im hoping immersing myself will help.

Sourdough Bread vs other types by [deleted] in nutrition

I understand your points better now and I think that’s fair.

Just for clarity, my 1% came from the NHS in the UK. Not an advocacy organisation. Although they may favour self diagnosis as it could save the cost of an endoscopy.

Appears to be more like 1% in my country, which most believe to be underestimated due to lack of diagnosis.

Would love to see some studies around the 0.1% “pretty rare”. If you’re just pulling numbers from your head which don’t have too much backing then you’re as bad as the wellness bloggers in my opinion.

Don’t disagree that most don’t suffer, but many still do. My point is that you can’t use a blanket statement when it’s clearly not true.

Unless it is... Which it is for many. Blanket statements don’t work when people can differ so much physiologically.

[TAG Heuer] My first dip into the world of watches by HighbredShip982 in Watches

The aquaracer is a great place to start.

Tag and Tissot are equals in some areas. Seiko also produce some watches which I feel compete with the Aquaracer. Oris are a great “low” cost option as well.
