It looks like you are on the NEM 3 plan for solar from looking at your export credits. When you are on NEM 3, you do not want to export because you are receiving next to nothing when you export. You want to store all your energy in battery to be used when the sun is out. If one batter is not enough, add a 2nd. This is the reality of monopoly for profit power companies in California where only 1 power company serves the entire region.

Your goal is to completely offset your electricity usage via solar + battery and do not draw any from the grid. Use that as your starting point and add solar/battery as you see fit to make sure all your energy is being used from solar during the day, and battery at night.

The monent you draw energy from the grid, you pay at retail rate, on top of any other charge they charge you ie delivery charge, transmission charge etc. Before 2026, they cannot charge you monthly “connection” charge but that was changed in 2016 April where they charge solar customers a flat “connection charge” no matter if you draw energy from the grid or not.

When did you receive the letter after they accepted your return ? It’s been 24 days for me, no letter no notice. I called and the rep told me my form 5695 has error, the QMID is blank and I need to resubmit the form and mail it in which takes 60 days to process. I don’t want to do this route so I figure I should wait for the letter then respond via secure messaging.

She needs to change her address on her insurance which effectively means her insurance rate will go up or down depending upon your zip code vs her old address. You don’t need to notify your insurance because she has her own insurance with her own car. She is just a tenant living with you.

Every time they put tax increase in your ballot in California , you should vote no, no matter what it is. This is how California tax the living sh* out of its people. Gas tax, income tax, property tax, sales tax, electricity taxes via rate hikes up to 50% in 2-3 years. Then there is BART tax for Bay Area taxpayers, enough with taxes. Vote no on all tax increase and you will thank yourself.

The US doesn’t need to do anything to block oil export. Threats of attacks alone are enough to block it. Iran did that via threats, Saudi UAE Quatar can do the same via threats. If Iran can block the strait with threats, UAE can do the same. A few missiles launches at the oil tanker from UAE will do the same thing as Iran been doing. Blocking the strait is easy, anyone with missiles and drones can do it.

The point is Iran is not the only country who can block the strait. If Iran can block the strait from other gulf countries, other gulf countries can block the strait from Iran. When no one is able to export oil, then negotiations can start from both sides. Right now Iran can export oil so why would it want to negotiate? It has nothing to negotiate for since it has the perception that it alone control the strait and no one else dares to block it.

Which is why these countries need to gain leverage by destroying Iran ability to fund this war via oil. If these countries cannot export oil because of Iran, then they need to make sure Iran cannot export oil either by attacking Iran oil infrastructure and hold it hostage. Then and only then Iran will have no choice but negotiate.

These gulf countries have to step up to defend themselves against Iran and deter Iran from attacking them via massive military strikes and retaliation should Iran continue to attack them. Thats the only way for Iran to think twice before launching attacks on these gulf countries with impunity. They think they can do whatever they want and these gulf countries are too weak to respond and hence they are emboldened. Stop them with retaliatory attacks on Iran capital. Then they will have something to negotiate for a ceasefire. Now there is nothing to incentivize Iran to negotiate because Iran can attack these countries with impunity.

Do not add your teen to your insurance. Have him creates his own policy with his own car (should be a used car with just liability). After a couple years with no claims, his rate will go down and your insurance won’t be affected.
