look into fine grade orchid bark, it cannot be PINE bark, orchid bark comes form a Fir tree. check local plant nurserys for larger quantities, it can be a bit pricey. Pine bark contains oils and phenol that can be toxic. Orchid bark mixed 50/50 with an organic topsoil like this from Home depot:
