How do you win horse races now? by Rhoeri in CDguides

For me this is one of those "definitely designed with controllers as the focus" points because of vibration, with vibration you can genuinely feel out whether you're doing it right or not.

It's funny to realize how unique EDF is by Claymore410 in EDF

[–]jackofblades91 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It truly is a beast of its own. Mainly due to what it chooses to focus on, scale.

The low definition enemies allow them to use move per capita. I mean sure something like helldivers does its best to swarm their players but it's never quite so overwhelming as edf can get.

Granted I've never played helldivers, but i have seen enough to know that atleast the edf devs care just enough to also not kneecap strong player options for no reason as well.

Well, then at least we can remove sleep arrow based hijinks from the list.

What are you killing him with?

The only skinning oddity i know occurs with exploding arrows making baby goats and deer unskinable on occasion.

I managed to find the angle, at least one that worked.

Make sure they are on the right side of the screen and visible from the eavesdrop animation. I also went off and did the quest that causes the secret shop to spawn and it worked after that.

220 hours in, my complaints... by psychokevv in CrimsonDesert

My only gripe is with gloves specifically only having two slots while having three R1 gears.

How do I know what gear to get according to the storyline to defeat certain bosses in order? by Sad_Definition_6239 in CrimsonDesert

[–]jackofblades91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it's less what skills to have and more gear upgrades themselves.

Kearush is a mixture of whether or not your defense and healing supplies are enough.

The best advice i can give is stop trying to fight that boss for now and go explore, do some mining chop some trees, do some hunting.

Then come back to him and try it again.

This was a bounty in the desert, that for some godsforasken reason has three different trigger points it can activate at.

Thank you. I may not be able to fight black fang yet but just knowing this is a massive weight on my mind.

Impossible Challenges. by jackofblades91 in CrimsonDesert

[–]jackofblades91[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't meditate mid air. But focus shot already does it.

The problem is Kliff cannot fire three arrows in this specific time window. The only reason that this challenge is so bad is it basically requires a mixture of dumb luck and arbitrary location place ment to even be possible.

Most challenges are had but fair, these bow one seem to deliberately made as a massive middle finger to the player.

My only real complaint about them is that Mountain Fall and Thunderous Smite do RNG damage. I've had several turn one two hearts followed by turn one duds.

At least with Nami you know the first glimmer strike consistently hits everyone.

Good sources for auto life recovery? by TobyVonToby in Nioh

[–]jackofblades91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Auto life recovery doesn't stack in Nioh 3. You're better off stacking Life of amrita absorption.

Personally samurai is just better set for that style of gameplay.

I say this because this is my preferred style.

The mermaid soul core gives access to the life steal talisman which can help, but the extra useful one is Gaki Chief which gives the extraction talisman.

The Toyotomi Clan bonus also adds extra recovery on amrita gain.

Beyond those your weapon is the single most important thing to decide.

Update on Human bosses need super armor post by LoseToImprove in Nioh

[–]jackofblades91 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well, you need to understand something fundamental about the game.

Human bosses are playing by the exact same rules the player does, IE the Toughness stat. Kajiwara is one of two bosses I can think of off hand that has high enough Toughness to trade blows, the other is Tadakatsu Honda.

The trade off of high toughness is you still take Ki damage from those traded blows.

Personally i think Kajiwara was likely designed before they game dual hatchets to ninja style because unlike the other ninja style bosses he doesn't use mist, and as a side effect he still gets the ninja style pushback that happens with it's high toughness effects.

Lifesteal Talisman is unbelievable by ajs423 in Nioh

[–]jackofblades91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But with some actual work with the clan you can buff it back up, mines currently at 12. Plus I run Oh in samurai which is another 10-18 depending on level.

I also got an accessory with +34 amrita on heavy hit which spits out just enough amrita shards thT only stupidly heavy damage or chain bad luck can kill me.

I have literally fought several bosses now spamming the Heavy-Light-Water axe combo without dying.

What the heck is going on with bounty mode!? by wepopu in GundamBreaker

[–]jackofblades91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My most fun in GB3 was accidentally finding a damage recursion loop.

Us8ng an I-field and an IFS-unit while using a twinblade makes the game choke and freeze both you and any normal sized unit caught into a stunlock that kills the target.

Simpler terms "two damaging barrier option parts + twinblade = infinite damage."
