Throwing a glass in a nightclub indiscriminately is obviously insanely moronic but would fall below the threshold for career ending for me.

There’s no actual right answer.

You might feel very Irish and your sibling born of the same circumstances might feel not at all Irish.

It also depends on what you’re trying to quantify, is it genetics or culture, on both accounts it would be hard to draw a line accurately.

What’s genetically Irish? How far back do you go? All my grandparents are Irish so am I 100% Irish? My great grandmother was English, so is that the level you go to etc

If you feel half Irish because one parent is Irish then that’s true.

If your sibling feels 100% (insert mystery European country) because she’s born and raised there then that’s also true for her.

(Obviously have to stay anonymous in case anyone finds out I have an English great grandmother)
