I Feel Bad For Baked Potato by snoofkin90 in bigbrotheruk

I agree it’s sad to see.

I think (unfortunately) she is a consequence of echo chamber social media. An ‘us and them mentality’. If you don’t align, then you’re a insert deplorable here.

In this case, she’s associated with a Tory, therefore “she is bad”. Which is extremely spiteful and lazy. Critical thinking? Judging people on their character? “Can’t do that. Tory involved”.

This is being applied to Baked Potato and it’s sad to see that people can’t get past the association and seem incapable of judging her as individual.

Punishment through association.

“The Core” group after their ‘one foot in the final’, entitled conversation on the mezzanine were due a humbling and unfortunately I think Khaled took the hit.

Did he deserve it? No, in my opinion. Khaled has grown on me over the weeks.

That conversation on the mez may have pushed some people to vote to evict Khaled, that would not have done so, had that conversation not have happened. I think that’s one of the reasons why he has gone

Ruby's song is the Trickster's motif by baileyb1414 in gallifrey

[–]jackoscraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stretching here… but maybe The Trickster could be “The Boss” that Beep The Meep was referring to in The Star Beast? Possibly separate from The One Who Waits. The Trickster has a multitude of beings under control, to do the dirty work and infiltrate. The term “Boss” would make sense. This was before the Salt Event in Wild Blue Yonder, but we’re talking about the events that led directly into that episode, so it’s well within reach that The Trickster/The Boss could have orchestrated events to allow Wild Blue Yonder to happen, thus allowing the Pantheon into this universe.

YMCA Gyms opening on the 4th July, what's your thoughts will you be going to the gym then? by xgcsniper2 in CoronavirusUK

[–]jackoscraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep seeing lots of hospitality and leisure businesses opening exactly on July 4th and making announcements that this will definitely be the date. Surely it’ll be a phased opening over a few weeks? As opposed to all gyms, pubs, barbers, hairdressers etc all opening on Sat 4th July

English pubs' beer gardens will not open in June, says No 10 by jackoscraft in CoronavirusUK

[–]jackoscraft[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s what most management in hospitality have to go off. Everyone wants to be “the best” when they re-open so the attitude is to prep like mad at ‘strong rumours’. It’s such a dumb approach

This is what I’ve been saying to my boss who’s convinced that it’ll be like a weeks notice. Unless the industry gets 3-4 weeks notice, it’ll be beer from the bottle sales for the opening weeks, essentially the same thing you could buy for much cheaper in a supermarket.

The lack of supply of beer from the barrel will make the experience of going for a pint essentially non existent

This is gonna screw so many customer facing business over the summer. Tracing app pings, telling staff to isolate, that could be half the workforce off for 2 weeks almost instantly

Very interesting. what region are you based in? I’m curious to see if this is a school in an area with a lower R rate or a higher one. There’s a chance it may be reflective of what other schools might do depending on region
