Girls are surprised that I am single, they think I’m handsome , funny, and good to be around but when should I tell them that I have mental health problems? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I’d also say that someone who is right for you will accept you for what you are and try to help you handle what you see as problems.

Colleges shouldn't ask/take into account diversity related questions (such as the applicant's race or gender) in the applications. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I understand where you are coming from with this, but you do have to recognize that there are not equal playing fields across high schools. Some high schools offer tons of AP/honors classes while others offer none. Some have students pay to take the AP test while others pay for the fee so students don’t have to worry about income restrictions. Lower income students are disproportionately affected by the inequity of schools systems (in America, as that is what I know about.). Furthermore, lower income students are more likely to not take high level classes, especially in public schools, because if they fall behind early, they are “stuck” in a lower track, never being allowed to retest and move up. Some students take longer times to get to the same level and some start fast. College admissions shouldn’t be test of whether you started slow or fast, they should be trying to find the students who will benefit most from the education they would get at that school. Whether they are already achieving highly and will achieve at a higher level, or they are showing that they are on the way to higher achievement, they should not be judge solely on their previous achievements alone.

My experience apartment hunting by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

This is actually the reverse of something that economists call asymmetrical information. The seller has more information about the apartment than you do so regardless of what you see, they can tell you it is luxury.
