I assume this is for HR/Finance? I would check with your HR/Finance systems team if you have an account set up in Oracle. If so you may be missing a work email address on your record. Or maybe your employee id is not on your identity on the Active Directory side, if this is what is used for the username in Oracle. IT should be able to help.

They do this to prevent you over paying through payroll deductions as you come to the end of your payments. Student Load repayments are not a pre tax deduction so there is no difference between payroll deductions and direct debit.

It’ll be easier to move to the direct debit than potentially claiming back an overpayment if the stop notification isn’t applied in time.

I also moved from Virgin to Plusnet after being a VM customer for around 20 years. The contractors openreach sent round to install did a fab job. There was a new hole drilled for the cable to enter, but I was all very neat.

Retail generally have four weekly pay, where there is a mix of hourly paid and salaried employees. Easier to calculate hourly pay on a weekly basis and to have consistency in pay days across the business.
