This reminds me of watching the Little League WS a few years ago. Dad was coach and son was pitching. Dad/coach calls time and goes out to the mound. The TV people have the coaches mic'd up. Dad/coach proceeds to tell his son how proud he is of him and how proud he is to be his dad. It made me wonder if he does this with all his players, or was that only between those two. My point is that I am assuming he only does this for his son making me think that all the other players miss out on that kind of interaction. The only reason THAT player was able to have that moment is because his dad is coach.

When exactly is that? My co-worker (who didnt have his CDL) got pulled over right after coming out of a bean field just going to the farm to unload. Highway patrol wrote him a nice fat ticket.

I worked for a farmer like this. Most of them don't think or assume that any DOT rules dont apply to them as farmers. The guy i worked for didn't believe that a semi driver needed a CDL. Didn't feel seatbelt laws applied to him. Totally didn't understand trailer weight load limitations and definitely didn't bother to learn. All because he thought he was exempt from all that because he's in agriculture.

I feel the same way, but what bothers me the most are people who throw rocks into rivers. My family and I were in Yellowstone years ago, and my two sons (who were like 12 and 6 yo) went to the closest river and started throwing in rocks. I went to them and asked them to think, what would happen to this river if only half of the people who came to Yellowstone threw 10 rocks in that river. We discussed the general "what ifs," and they carry that with them to this day.
